"I still don't have an answer." He said to her through the speaker in the phone.
"What?" She demanded, "You still don't have an answer? What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Nothing," Jack replied simply, "I just don't have an answer."
She shook her head. "Screw you. I'm asking Steve."
"Have fun!"
"Whatever." Then she hung up. She sighed to herself, then dialled Steve's number into the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Steve?"
"Yeah...what the hell?! Michelle! How'd you get my number?!"
"Don't worry - "
"No," Steve interrupted her, "How did you get my number?"
"From a person. Who's name I will not mention."
"Why are you calling me?"
"I want to ask you something."
"What?"
"Well...I was kind of wondering..." she wanted to stall, but she knew she had to blurt it out: "will you go out with me?"
"What?!" he exclaimed. "What?! Oh my God! W...well, look, I'll think about it, and I'll call you back. Tomorrow."
Bullcrap! she thought.
She entered her lounge room to watch Lost, one of her favourite shows, when the phone rang.
"Hello?" She answered it.
"Hey, Michelle," said a voice, "it's Koji."
"And Jayden!" added Jayden's voice.
"We're on three-way." Koji told her.
"Oh, cool." Michelle said, "Actually, not cool. Why the hell are you calling me during Lost?"
They asked her to go to the movies with them, but after calling a few more people, the three discovered that no one was able to come, and therefore, they could not go at all. Not on Friday, at least. And it was a total waste of time because all Michelle got to see of Lost were the credits and "next week on Lost...".
