~~~Episode Twenty-Nine~~~
Haku leapt, his katana flashing in the dim light as he attacked the intruder. The figure stepped back, his blue eyes widening faintly. Haku was stopped in midair as the figure grabbed him by the shoulders,
“Whoa! Calm down kid!”
A voice said, a strange metal tinge echoing. Haku shouted, kicking angrily as he tried to break free of the stranger’s grip. With a surge of power, the ship abruptly jolted to the right, sending both Haku and the outside to the ground. Haku hit against the wall, letting out a gasp of pain. The large figure slammed against the wall beside him, slowing shaking his head.
“Hello, I’m still in here! Be careful out there you guys!”
He said through a secure transmission channel. The lights flickered on, and Haku’s eyes widened. The interloper on his ship wasn’t human, but a yellow robot that was quite abit larger than himself. A red insignia that resembled a face was on his chest, and his blue optics flashed. The robot stood and turned his optics on Haku,
“Its alright kid, we received your S.O.S and we’re here to help.”
Haku backed up against the wall, trying to keep a glare, but fear was slowly dripping through him. The robot put his hands out to show he was harmless,
“Please, calm down.”
He said in a softer tone. Again, the ship lurched, and the yellow bot stumbled, his arms swinging to the side as he caught himself against the opposite wall. Haku slid away from the wall, but couldn’t react. He was frozen up as memories flooded his mind, and he didn’t have the slightest idea as to what was happening at the precise moment. The robot stepped forward,
“Guys, seriously! There are humans aboard this thing, try and keep it steady!”
Haku heard a voice, but it faded as he began to black out.
“Haku? Haku, come on, wake up.”
Yuri’s voice broke through the stillness that had surrounded Haku, and he slowly came to. Haku opened his eyes to see Yuri’s face, and he gave a slight groan.
“What happened…”
He asked. Yuri blinked, obviously worried.
“You passed out Haku.”
“Yeah, you were out cold. Bumblebee here brought you back to the cockpit and we’ve been waiting for you to wake up.”
Zeph said, stepping into view. Confusion came over Haku,
“Bumblebee? Who the hell is Bumb-“
He stopped, his words failing him as he saw the yellow robot come up behind Yuri and Zeph. Haku instantly tensed, reaching for his katana only to realize he didn’t have them.
“Where are my katana!”
He shouted, trying to jump to his feet only to sway and have Zeph stand by his side to steady him.
“Easy Haku! You can chill, this guy is Bumblebee. Hes a good guy.”
Haku glared at Bumblebee, who seemed to shrink back slightly.
Yuri stepped beside Bumblebee, narrowing her eyes at Haku,
“Haku, what is your problem!? I think you hit your head in the crash! Bumblebee is an alley, not an enemy.”
Haku stepped forward, Zeph cautiously standing beside him. Haku shook his head,
“I don’t trust robots. They’re easily manipulated and can change sides with the flip of a switch! I don’t want him on my ship, and we don’t need a robot’s hel…”
He stumbled, his strength failing him unexpectedly. Zeph again was there to steady him, shaking his head as he looked at Yuri and Bumblebee,
“Yuri…I’ve never seen him act like this…do you think hes ok?”
He asked her as he helped Haku into a chair. Yuri gave a sad sigh, shaking her head as well,
“I don’t know what his problem is, but he needs to get himself under control.”
She paused before turning to Bumblebee,
“I’m sorry Bumblebee, Haku usually isn’t this big of a jerk.”
Bumblebee gave a smile,
“Don’t worry about it Yuri. He did act rather strangely once the lights came on and he saw me…I didn’t mean to cause any trouble. All I was supposed to do is come aboard to see if anyone was on this ship.”
“We’re glad you and your friends found us. We thought we were going to have to sit here and wait for backup.”
Zeph said. Yuri glanced at Haku, only to see a glazed look in his eyes, as though he wasn’t in the room at all. She then turned her attention to Bumblebee,
“Your friends…you said they’re taking the ship where again?”
Bumblebee nodded,
“Yeah, Skyfire is outside with the other aerial bots. They’re pulling your ship back to Cybertron for repairs.”
Yuri gave a slight nod, knowing that Haku wouldn’t like that at all. The ship again shifted, but it was only enough to cause the lights to flicker.
Zeph stood fully, glancing worriedly at Haku.
“Well, I say we get to Cybertron then before Haku wakes up…”
He commented.
