In my life these times are bad,
the pain and the sadness.
In my life these times, they hurt
and this is how it is.
Do you know what it's like?
to be ignored? To be unwanted?
Do you know what it's like?
To be the one always falling behind?
To be the one watching all the others run ahead
leaving you there, all alone?
To be invisible
like you're not even there?
I do my best to try and help
No one hardly ever says "Thank you"
I do my best to do things on my own
because when I ask they always say "No"
It hurts inside, it hurts alot
But I will keep that locked up
And still do my best to help the others
And keep going on my own
I can do this, I know I can!
But I may need a little help.
You see, I need assistance
With helping me go through this
To help me stand and keep me going
when all of this gets me down
I keep it locked up, but I need to let some out
and make room for more
of the sorrow and unhappiness
of helping with nothing for me
But I know I can make peace with that
if you were here beside me.
Help me stand, help me live
Make me promise.
To keep on helping others
and not want anything for me.
