Let me ask you a question... why the hell do people feel the need to pile s**t onto their avatars? Better yet, why do people feel the need to set GOALS for that?
I understand that we can pretty much do whatever we want to our avatars - it's an expression of personality, after all - but come on, it's a matter of taste and class.
I hope the original fella doesn't mind, but I snagged this from his sig.
What do you see here? Can you count all five Ancient Katanas? Can you even see the Celestial Wrap? Or all three poses of the Shadow Spirit? Do you even notice the Kitsune Tails for the Yokai's Treasure?
Can you even tell he has a cig on that avatar?
Aside from the rediculousness, this avatar costs over 12 million gold. Talk about reaching for the stars.
Why do people seriously do this? It's unnerving. Hasn't anyone heard of "less is more"? I have four different swords, and I could EASILY equip them all. But I don't. Want to know why?
Because it's tasteless. There is no logical need for anymore than three weapons. I say three because you can wield two and have a backup. But come on, four? Or even SIX? (Keep in mind, I count the Dark Star as well as the five katanas). It's insanity.
Why do people feel the need to cram as much s**t on their avatars? To show off? That's kinda rude. And even if you have hundreds of MC's... if you equip them all, you look like a complete noob.
Remember what I said, kids. Less is more.

Back in the day, like 2005/2006 it was in style and hip to have "Cluttertars." It's not anymore, though. It'd be like someone rockin' the sleeveless tee, baggy pants, and doc martins in the real world (At least in the Chicago area). Personally, I thought it was a dumb trend to begin with, but some people did it well (the cluttertars, I mean). It's gone out of style, though. How sad it is to see people who weren't even around then try to copy that style. It's "retro" but not in a good way.
