Once upon a time, there was a war. It split the land in two, thundering it's horror through the nation. There were many heroes and villains on either side, but none as legendary as the Battosai. Few knew what he looked like, fewer still knew who he was. Most could only comprehend a flash of red and gold, then death. With the war winding down to triumphant end, the Battosai was retired to a far away farm, hiding with his wife from the enemies that pursued him. But even that farm was not far enough.
It was on a cold winter's day when the Battosai's enemies caught up to him. Taking his wife hostage, the men forced him through a hard and grueling journey, until the infamous assasian was whittled down to raw instinct. Blinded, wounded, and exhausted he came across the ambush they had set up. With blinding speed he shredded the group, coming to their leader last. Just as the last stroke was to fall, his wife threw herself in front of the blade. Unable to stop, her life blood spilled red against the white snow. Beloved as her husband was, the betrayal of being killed by him was too great for the woman to deal with. "I curse you to be as you are. A monster. Until someone can love you as I once did, let the world see your darkest nature." the woman cried, completing her curse with a slash to the man's cheek. From that moment on, the farm was caught in the woman's curse. Plants withered, sunshine grew cold, and all that came to hunt the Battosai were trapped in the curse. Time passed until it seemed as if the curse would stay forever.

Tower's End
To the ends of time, the tower stands a lone sentinel watching over us. Nothing can change it and nothing can make it stay the same. It waits forever poised between Order and Chaos, Light and Dark, and I am it's guardian.
