Hello all. Just last Saturday, I attended Projekt Revolution at the Ford Amphitheatre in Florida. It was freakin amazing. If they are coming somewhere near you, GO. Heres a little run down on how it went.
They said it started at 12:45, but they wouldnt let you sit down until 4. What they did is have something called a revolution stage, where Saosin, The Bled, Mindless Self Indulgence, and Madina Lake performed, and you had to stand to watch the whole thing. It was 100 degree weather and I was literally dying.
I really wanted to see Saosin, but they werent on till 2:30 so I decided to get in line for a t shirt. I had to wait in line for 2 hours. They were missing a lot of their merchandise and wouldnt sell until they had everything. So, they finally got all their things and the big crowd started moving. Then, ironically, as soon as i got to the front i passed out from heat exhaustion and i was dragged away by these meds. They were dragging me by the revolution stage where Saosin was playing "Youre not alone" which was the song I really wanted to hear. I felt like i was in that music video, cuz I was being literally dragged and i felt like it was all slow motion.
It was pretty weird though. Then the singer looked over at the med tent at me and I waved at him and he nodded his head and i thought WHOA good thing i passed out. So now, Youre not alone is my faint song.
I finally go t to sit down and listened to Julien K and Placebo. I had never really listened to them before, and i liked Julien K. Placebo, you couldnt really hear over the music. Then HIM came on. Ahhh....HIM. They were great. The only played a few songs, and they did Kiss of Dawn which sounded really great.
Taking back Sunday was next and they had quite a theatrical performace. Adam was going crazy with that mike, swinging it everywhere and throwing it in the air. He had this weird little routine. It was pretty funny. And then, My Chemical Romance. Wow, just wow. They performed for an hour, and they all sounded great. But, I think the best song they performed was Helena. Gerard was so energetic and he was all f this, and f that. Then he made the guys swing their shirts around their heads and made a mosh pit "commander..." But he was hilarious, Frank was insane, Ray was awesome, Bob was weird and Mikey wasnt there. I videod them a lot.
And then, the main attraction, Linkin Park. They did most of their new CD and then a bunch of others like Crawling, Numb, In the End, Faint, and a whole buncha others. Im just gonna say they sounded as good if not better than the songs sounded on the CD. He had loads of energy too, I mean he was sprinting up and down the stage, screaming and rolling around. If you want to see a legendary band before you die, see Linkin Park.
I think I'll just post this on my profile. Well, hmm....if you want specifics of what the main bands sang, heres what I can remember.
