It took some getting used to, yes, but I'm starting to like the new Gaia layout.
Sure, there are things I would like to see changed, like not having to use the drop menues, but being able to click and navigate like last time would be nice. And it's more crowded and they moved a couple things.
But, I do think it could be a good thing..

I got Warped Tour tickets for Ethan and me today. I'm excited to go, I went to last year's too. The line-up isn't that great this time around, but, it'll still be fun.
