When shopping in the Gaia Market Place, I have to say that the best time to shop is late at night (Between 11:00 pm and 2:00 am). I have found so many good deals that I can't click them all! I've bought so many chickies at under 190 gold on there, late at night. Most of the stuff on my avatar are bought late at night (yes cheap and sleepy, that's how I like to shop... 3nodding sweatdrop ) It's like a shopper's paradise. So many good buys, so little time. I think the main reason the deals are cheap is because at that time, most normal people just want to get rid of their junk and go to bed. Me, I'm like the movie star stalker who waits for the perfect moment, when the star is tired and ready to go home, to pounce and bother the poor, sleepy, delirious person for their autograph and a photo. That kind of thing. I will sit and wait for you to accept my bid, or watch vigorously as the bid slowly winds down... sweatdrop I only do this kind of thing at night too. I can't stand to sit and wait for a bid to go through, even if it's only 5 minutes.... strange I know....
Now that I think about it, there are cheap deals on during the day time. But, the reason the deals are so good at night is because half the population of Gaia is out at this time. Their either asleep, in the towns, or doing something more important at 12:00 am. Less people, less competition, hence more great deals.
The only problem with late night shopping is it only lasts a few hours verses the whole day with day time Market shopping. After 2-3'o clock, the deals on the Market Place start to reshuffle themselves every time you hit the "First" button. It gets annoying since the only thing I keep thinking is "No one is going to buy your flowers, so put them away or lower your price, YOU STUPID PERSON!! stressed stressed ... crying sweatdrop
Then there is the fact that you have to stay up that late. Most people would rather sleep at night then shop virtually for stuff you can't even really use. (As you can tell, I have no life otherwise.... sweatdrop crying )
Another bad point is that most of your Gaia friends are asleep. So you have no one to talk to. All you can do is *click* *click* *click*..... continually refreshing the page until another good deal pops up. (It's a very lonely shopping journey, I never said you had to ENJOY night time shopping... razz [well, I do... but then again I'm weird, so there ya go... mrgreen )
Long story short, here are the pros and cons of late night shopping. You get great deals with fewer competition at night, however it only lasts a few hours and you have to stay up all that time with solitaire as you only friend...
Whether you people out there choose to do it or not, I will continue to rot my eyes out until I get those crumple paper bags for under 20 gold...
