“Kuro! Hurry up!” Rei called. “How can you possibly have so much energy?” Kuro wheezed. “And why the hell do I have to carry all your stuff?!” “Watch your language!” “I can talk however I please!” “You can’t curse in public.” “And why is that?” “It’s bad manners.” Kuro rolled his eyes. “Look who’s talking.” Rei turned around and walked over to Kuro and said, “Excuse me?” “Well, in case you haven’t noticed, you’re not the most polite person in the world.” “You are such a hypocrite!” “Sticks and stones, my dear. Sticks and stones.” “Don’t you dare get all high and mighty with me!” “Why not?” “Because!” “Because why?” “Just because!” “That’s not a very good reason.” “So?” “You need a good reason for me not to, as you put it, ‘get all high and mighty with you’.” “Whatever,” Rei huffed, turning and walking away. Kuro caught up to Rei and continued his argument. “Why do you need three heavy backpacks? Don’t you only need one for clothes?” “One is for clothes.” “Then why do you need the other two?!” Rei turned around and began walking backwards so she could face Kuro. “One is for scrolls and spell books and the other’s for medical supplies,” Rei said simply. Kuro sighed and shifted the weight of the backpacks.
