he ha he hahahaa...Moderator Application The recent announcement via: Apply to become a Gaia moderator has finally arrived. I'm going to an all day shopping spree tomorrow. I think I'm dreaming. I wonder who applied for the position. 3nodding And the feedback via the thread provided in the announcement is ... kinda funny. There's a reason why you have to be 18 years of age. Think, think, think.

	Snerk. Yesterday I stupidly decided to participate in a incredibly stupid debate on the "age-limit for mods" issue. Mostly because I was bored out of my mind and I was sick of a bunch of 14-year-olds trying to act mature and failing, utterly, to act like anything other than self-centered 14-year-olds. rolleyes It just amused the hell out of me that one of the loudest 14-year-olds in the thread (I'm guessing at her age, but she could easily be 12 trying to pass as a 14-year-old...) tried to argue that since Gaia has not removed a marijuana-themed guild (gasp! illegal activities are discussed there!) that Gaia doesn't care about doing illegal things, and so they're a bunch of hypocrites for not letting 17-and-down's play mod. lol Anyways, I really doubt I'll apply to the position. But I'm dying to hear the "survivor" stories of those who make it through the application process.

	raises hand I APPLIED! is super happy he turned 18 on the 19th of last month mrgreen Or wait, legal terms confuse me. Am I not supposed to disclose that I applied? D: People that argue the point are not fully qualified to fill the position, in my opinion. Those that it applies to and they accept it, they just need to wait a while before they fit the final qualification. Anyways, buy yourself some shorts to ride the rest of the summer. Maybe a sweater or jacket or something for the fall/winter. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT BOSTON WEATHER IS LIKE. Only the California "single-season" weather. >>;

I can't stop but reminiscence the time when an 11 year old refuse to accept the truth. Hmmm...she kept hounding me saying I was wrong, wrong, wrong even though, I was right, right, right (backed by everyone XD Even stalked the living daylight out of me) ...I just hope those who applied for Moderator-ship will be ready for whatever Gaian users can throw at them. Not just goatse and tubgirl spams...I mean person to person conversation. They HAVE to be neutral no matter the results. You can't lose your temper to a Gaia user. Though, at the time she was indeed an 11 year old...now I think she's 14 or 15. She acted immaturely and those are the things Gaia Moderators to be will have to handle. Without voicing your opinion...that's the LAST thing you want to do...as a moderator. Even if your opinion is good, they will view it the wrong way. @ Druki ~> lol Druki ^O^ I guessed right~!

	I wanna see what the application looks like, just out of sheer nosiness. But yeah. I'd be a terrible mod. I keep grudges, I'm petty, and lazy, and hate people who are stupid. I just don't have the patience to be nice to a moron who firmly believes that their problems are more important than anyone else's problems. And mods deal with all of the most stupid people who have ever or will ever exist. No wonder you're wearing that straitjacket all the time, Arwen. rofl

	The application was comprised of short answer and essay questions. It was a very general application that gave you situations and asked for your opinions and whatnot. Very easy yet very hard to word.

	What really got me happy was that there was some kind of Age/ Posting limit of your Gaia Character or something. I might have read that wrong or something, but im always aiming to get my post count higher. Meanwhile, improving my grammar in the process. But it would be interesting becoming a moderator. Even if I cant apply, thats life, there are many ways of helping the users of Gaia Without being a mod. wink Edit- BTW, I love my name, its glad to know someone can remember my name easily, because I really suck at remembering names. 	It's unfortunate that some of the moderators have actions based on opinion and ethics... and some are emotional fiends. Hence I tried to apply to counter-balance them with a neutral stance. Unfortunately, this was a few hours after the announcement, and all slots were taken. Drat.

	meh. i found out about all that today. all ready full by the time i checked. I'm 21 but i just dont think i wouold have the time necessary to actually moderate well enough anyways. school keeps me pretty busy and i have to work too so i can continue going to school. sighs the summer is almost over too depresssed

	Hopefully the Application is good at weeding out those who are doing it for the gold. Because what more do we need, the users are already gold hungry and greedy little buggers. 	I wanted to apply, but it's always full when I go over there. I have very little to do with my time but play WoW and I figured after all these years on Gaia, I might want to try the mod thing out a little. Of course, knowing how crazy the forums can be, I keep wondering WHY I want to try. xp
