Where do I even start. Well it was one of the best days of my life, Aside from certain things.
First up was Fuse. They were pretty good, I didn't hear about them until the concert. They played a few songs extra, I don't know why though but Im thinking it was because the next band/preformer wasn't ready yet. It was raining for a little while while they were playing but stopped after a little while.
Then Classified. When he first came on stage Classified and the others who were there with him were throwing beer at people in the audience. Then after a few songs Classified said "Im not a drinker, Im more of a smoker." Then he starts smoking, Can you guess what? You probably can. Lol. But he was pretty good too. I knew some of his songs.
Next up was Hey Rosetta!. Yes the ! is supposed to be there, its part of the band name.(I think..) They're a band from St. John's, Newfoundland. They were pretty good too. Actually everyone was really good(Except for 1, they were awesome -cough-GC-cough-)
Then next on stage was Matt Mays & El Torpedo. My aunt didn't like them. Lol. The first song they played was the only song I have by them, Cocaine Cowgirl. Even though my aunt, mom and grandma didn't like 'em, I kinda did. I think they were drunk though. Their guitarist was standing on the drums!
This band was one of the most popular ones there. Alexisonfire. They were pretty damn good I must say. Im not a really big fan of them but I like 'em. I have a few of their songs. Out of all the bands that played Alexisonfire was the 2nd band that I wanted to see. Good Charlotte was #1! =P Alexisonfire was crazy, Well George was at least, From screaming the lyrics out to walking on the crowd (I mean actually walking on the crowd). I didn't see Dallas much because from where I was he was behind a speaker. I would have thought that he would be out in the front more but I guess they wanted to give George more room to run around lol. When Dallas did come out I tried to get a pic and I got a few! I got an Alexisonfire t-shirt! Its cute =) (About when they finished playing the rain started.)
This band made my rainy day. Good Charlotte. <333333 One thing for sure is that GC is awesome live. They are the reason I took a ferry, drove 5 1/2 hours and went to the Salmon Festival. The first thing that they played was Good Morning Revival(The song not the Cd) and then went right on into Misery. My favourite song off of Good Morning Revival <33. They played almost all of my favourite GC songs, I can't list them all though. "We are inside the heart of a whale's v****a." - Joel Madden (Talking about Grand Falls-Windsor or Newfoundland, Im not sure what it was lol). Joel was saying that when Alexisonfire go to LA they stay at his house, Someone in the audience asked if they slept in his car. Then I don't know exactly how it came up but Joel ended up shouting "I Wanna Sleep In Your Bed!" and he was pointing near where I was standing! Lol, Don't think he was talking to me though lol. Joel said that there was something special about everyone in the audience being wet. He also said that he liked the way that Newfoundlanders talked and that there were some very good looking people in the audience! Lol. At one point during one song Billy pointed and looked at me(Well if it wasn't at me then it was at someone pretty close! Lol) and then smiled! At the end of their last song Billy threw his towel out into the audience and I touched it! =D I almost had it but some guy (who looked kinda emo, no offence or anything) got it. (During GC I got soaked from the rain, but it was soooo worth it!)
The last ones to play were Bachman and Cummings For those of you who don't know who they are(Like I didn't know) Randy Bachman used to be in BTO(Bachman Turner Overdrive (They used to sing Takin' Care Of Buisness)) and Burton Cummings was a solo artist (He sings Break It To Them Gently). We never stayed for all of them because everyone was cold and wet from the rain. (Just after we left the rain stopped for a while.)
All in all the concert was amazing. I loved every minute of it. Even the part of getting soaked. Im hoping that next year there will be some more good bands so I can go again! =P
There's some pics of the concert in the next entry.
