Neck Injury Story
Now before you all get worked up and start trying to send me flowers or something, I'm okay...for the most part.
Most of you don't know, but I recently returned to track and field to throw discus and shotput. We had a meet today, and I hurt myself when I threw my third discus. I was taken to a hospital (full body board and neck brace), where they said all that appears to have happened is that I pulled a muscle in the back of my head/neck. For this, I can't do anything too strenuous. For that reason, I have decided to limit the amout of activities I do for a few days. What does this mean?
Well, I might be getting on to help around the guilds I'm in a little less for a couple of days. I'm currently on some pain medication, but that doesn't seem to be helping - and supposedly it'll be worse tomorrow.
So I just want to inform you all, so you'll be aware of why I'm not chiming in when I usually do. But I felt like I should let you all know.

Edit: Well, after two days back, I found out what happened after I left:
The coach came back and told every "She broke her neck, but she's OKAY." xd Yeah. Seriously.
Two of my friends thought I died. Thanks. Love you too.
Actually, they're not the only ones, the calculations came out to this:
- 1/4 thinks/thought I died
- 1/2 think I broke my neck
- 1/4 know that I pulled a neck muscle because of told them.
Ah...I love you track people. I shall rejoin you on Tuesday.
Another edit: My first day back was officially today. One of the girls was surprised I went back to throwing discus, saying "I wouldn't do it again after getting injured like that." "Well...I'm scared now, but, it's just something I have to get over."
I'll be competing Saturday, though I think it's only for one reason: doubles, which requires two girls. We only HAVE two girls including myself. xd heart

Update: Since the inccident, I've finally received my final bill (what I actually have to pay), which was $30 from the original $3000+.
Real life moral? Get insurance. You never know when you'll need it. Especially when you're strapped to a body board.
Though since then, one of my friends just learned about this old injury (April) when she saw my neck brace the other day (techinally mid June). I then had to explain to her what happened, which rather upsetted me because I considered her one of my closet friends shortly before the inciddent happened and for her not to know...
Whatever. I'm just glad we're finally patching things back up again.
Other than that... Nothing big has really happened. I'm just required to not practice in the cold, build up my neck muscle (which I've been neglecting), and improve my form.
