The First Prophecy
Chapter1
It was a cold dark night, there was a fog on the ground of a forest it was so dark and cold only brief moments of foggy breath could be seen. Shadows were flickering back and forth across the cold hard ground and dew covered plants. Then a screech of fury was heard and an all out battle between cats started. The cloud covering the sliver of the moon moved and the clearing could be seen clearly. The clearing had a big rock in the of to the edge and a river that was starting to ice over was below it. A big tabby with an pelt that was unusual it was a deep color of orange and big black stripes was fighting a light gray cat with a white patch of fur on his throat in the shape of a heart.
The tabby screeched with fury “Graycloud how dare you and your warriors hunt on FireTribe’s territory!” Graycloud hissed back “This will be MistTribe’s territory soon Burningtiger”! Burningtiger hisses and claws him across the face leaving deep gouges where the claws meet flesh. The cuts where deep and bleed heavily into Graycloud’s eyes Graycloud could also taste the salty tang of blood in his mouth. Graycloud growled with rage they continued to fight. Eventually Graycloud ran away yowling in pain he had a new cut directly above both of his eyes. A pitch black cat came running up to Burningtiger and yowled loudly to be heard above the fighting. “Burningtiger we have to retreat!” “NO! Newmoon we can not retreat this is our territory their trying to take over!” Newmoon growled back in a stern voice “I am your deputy and you will do as I say!” but just then one off the she cats yowled out in pain a big gray tabby she cat had pinned her down and was putting pressure on her throat with its paw.
Burningtiger ran to the she cats aid he barreled in to her attackers side which threw her off balance when the enemy she cat gat back to her paws she took off a cross the river limping. Burningtiger helped the other she cat up and asked her “Are you all right Mosstail?” Mosstail shock her head to indicate she was all right, but she was limping pretty badly for she had a very deep cut on her right foreleg that was bleeding kind of heavily. Burningtiger looked into her eyes with a loving stare and whispered close to her ear “Mosstail just want you to know that if I don’t make it out of this battle alive that I love you with all of my heart.”
This took Mosstail by surprise for she wasn’t expecting it for every one in their tribe thought that Burningtiger loved Mosstail’s sister Reedwhisker for she was a beautifully colored tabby she had golden colored fur.
Mosstail was also beautiful not as beautiful as her sister she had the coloring of a tortoiseshell tabby and her fur wasn’t as smooth and shiny as her sisters. They were staring into each others eyes when they heard the yowl of triumph from Newmoon they looked a round to see that MistTribe had been chased off. Mosstail and Burningtiger were so happy that they rubbed their heads together very passionately but what they didn’t know was that they where being watched from behind some frozen ferns by a pair of icy blue eyes. Which moved into the darkness behind the ferns as quietly as they had approached.
