I find myslef distraught with how people act here on Gaia. There are way too many naive players who think that every email or PM they get is from a legit source. Oh you poor simple fools. I pray that none of you have access to a credit card or know your social security number. cause i fear oneday you will give out that info without a blink and soon be a victim of identity theft.
We should not call offenses of those who lose their accounts to password thieves hacks or hackers. Because that is not what they are a victim of: they are victims of stupidity. Must Gaia put this warning on evey page before gaians read it and beileve it to be true: that gaia will never ever ask for your password? Must they? That is one solution.
I have a better solution: Raise the age limit to those in college. Yes college. Just like when facebook started out. To be a member you had to have a valid COLLEGE email address to join. This way, we know we'll have users who are responsible and not so naive to fall for simple tricks.
Many of you i know would not like this solution. I dont like it myself. But that is what i feel like it is coming to. People need to wise up, think, and READ, or else they are going to fall victim to devious users. Make the internet fun for all.....don't be simple....be a true Gaian and think.
