~~~Episode Eight~~~
Yuri sat on a boulder, her eyes narrowed. "That was really unnecessary Haku." she said, crossing her arms. Haku turned, "Drop it already! What were you doing anyway, you could've been hurt!"
"I'm not though! Naruto and I were just talking!"
"You dont know anything about that kid!"
"I dont know anything about you either!"
Haku paused, a bit taken aback. There was a silence as the two looked at eachother. Haku finally sighed, turning away and pulling his fingers through his hair. "Sorry." he said.
Yuri blinked,
"What?" she asked.
Haku faced her, "I said I was sorry, are you deaf?"
"No, I just never expected to hear that from you..." Yuri said.
Haku nodded, "Well, you did, so dont plan on hearing it again. You just got to be careful Yuri. These worlds will be going to, they may be like your old world, but they aren't. Different rules and laws apply to these worlds, and if you dont watch it, you could be killed for saying 'Hi'. Your lucky you ran into that Naruto guy instead of some freak killer."
Yuri nodded, "I understand...sorry." she said.
Haku looked ahead, "I'm guessing there is a village nearby if Naruto was in the forest. Lets head back to that training area and see if we can find a trail. I have the feeling that heartless are about to create one hell of a mess." he said. Yuri hopped off the boulder and followed as Haku led the way back to the training area.
They got there, only to find it deserted. Haku glanced around as he walked across the open area, his eyes scanning for a path.
"Did Naruto give you any information earlier?" he asked. Yuri shrugged, "Not really." she said.
"Figures...hey, theres a path. Its really worn down too, come on." he said, heading through the bushes. Yuri ran after him, leaving the training area behind as they went deeper into the forest. Soon, sounds of village life could be heard, and enourmous gates were up ahead, an opening in an even bigger wall that seemed to surround the village.
"Impressive." Haku said as he gazed up at the top of the wall. They were let in without a second glance from the guards, who all wore the same headbands.
Within the village were hundreds and hundreds of people, all in different colored clothes, and ranging from all age groups. Shops lined the streets, along with tall houses and buildings. Everywhere, plant life was seen, growing from windows and walls. Yuri was taking all of this in when Haku waved his hand in front of her face.
"Hello? Snap out of it! Come on, we need to explore, not stare." he snapped.
Yuri blinked, nodding with annoyance before following Haku once more.
It wasn't long until the crowds thinned, and they came to empty areas of the village that had only a few people wandering the street or chatting with others. They headed down a fenced alleyway to avoid being overheard. "So far, so good. I dont see any signs of heartless...but that makes me worried." Haku said.
"Why? Isn't it good that there are no heartless in the village?" Yuri asked.
"Sort of. You and Naruto were attacked by quite alot from what you said, which means there are alot more. But why are they in the forest and not in the village, where all the people are? I say somethings up."
"I dont know, maybe the heartless are scared to come in the village."
Haku stopped, turning.
"You really dont know much about heartless, do you?" he asked.
Before Yuri could answer, she noticed a boy walking towards them. She nodded to Haku, who turned.
"Oh great, another kid..." he muttered. The boy had black eyes and hair that hung down on either side of his face. He wore a blue shirt with a tall collar and white shorts, with wrappings around his leg and blue sandals. The headband was around his forhead, and Yuri sensed a strange feeling when he neared.
"What do you want?" Haku asked. Yuri shook her head, 'He doesn't learn...' she thought.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes slightly, "You must be the two Naruto was blabbing to Kakashi about." he said.
"Your Naruto's friend?" Yuri asked. Haku stepped forward a little, "So what if we are? You got a problem?" he asked, interupting Yuri.
"Naruto said that things called heartless attacked him, and I think you know something."
Haku tensed, and Sasuke continued,
"What are these heartless? Are they a group of your friends you use to jump genin or something?"
Haku suddenly turned, "I dont have to say anything to you kid. Go find one of your friends and bug off."
Yuri flinched slightly, wishing Haku would choose his words better.
"I'm not leaving till I get a good answer. And if I'm not mistaken, I dont think you two are registered shinobi. I've never seen either of you before, not at the academy or the graduates books." he pulled a kunai from a pouch at his waist,
"So who are you? Spies?"
"No! We're not spies, we're just-" Yuri started until Haku cut her off,
"We're of no harm to you or your village. We'll be gone as soon as possible, so just drag."
"So...you are fakes. How dare you wear the symbol of this village." Sasuke said, tensing.
'Oh crap!' Yuri thought, stepping back a little.
A faint smile creeped onto Haku's face, and he unsheathed his katana with a quick motion. He held them steadily, "You wanna fight kid? Then lets fight. But you'll regret it."
"Haku, knock it off! The last thing we need is to start a fight, especially in the village!" Yuri said.
Haku stepped forward, "Hes snooping, and I think its obnoxious. This little emo punk cant be more than 13, and he thinks hes all tough." he tensed, "I'm just going to knock him around a bit."
Sasuke smiled, "You have no idea who your messing with." he said.
"Like wise." Haku retorted.
The two suddenly ran forward, Sasuke throwing three or more shuriken out with a flick of his wrist. Haku slashed, knocking them down with a 'c***k' sound and brought his blades slashing in from the side towards Sasuke. Sasuke quickly leapt straight up into the air, making handsigns.
"Fire Style! Fireball Jutsu!" he yelled as he brought a clenched fist to his mouth. He breathed out, sending a stream of fire blasting down towards Haku. Haku's eyes widened and Yuri lost sight of him as flames engulfed the ground around.
"Haku!" she shouted, stunned.
There was a flicker in the flames as Haku launched up out of the flames, the sparks falling from his clothes as he aimed from Sasuke. "You have to do better than that!" Haku shouted. He slashed out, hitting Sasuke in the side. Sasuke made no sound, but suddenly poofed into a white cloud of smoke.
"What the?!" Haku said, confusion flashing in his eyes. Sasuke was behind Haku, and kicked down with both legs. Haku shouted in pain before he hit the ground roughly. Sasuke landed a bit away from Haku, standing fully.
"You have to do better than that." Sasuke said as Haku stood, glaring as he spat onto the ground. Haku tightened his grip on his katana, then he and Sasuke ran at eachother once more.
