~~~Episode Five~~~
"Your not focusing enough Yuri. Just relax, dig deep into the energy within, and focus it into an element with a spell." Morgan said, sitting comfortably on a large boulder. She and Yuri were deep in the base, in the combat training area. Yuri stood in the center, breathing heavily. "I've been shooting fireballs! How is that not focusing enough!?" she asked Morgan, slightly frustrated. Morgan smiled, "Your main element is fire, but fire alone wont help you. You need to learn ice and thunder as well kid." Yuri nodded with a sigh, and began refocusng her energy.
Morgan turned as a figure walked onto the field, and she smiled. "Kimo, what brings you down here so early?" she asked. Kimo returned the smile, "I'm interested in how Yuri is coming along. Its been almost a week now, has it not?"
Morgan nodded, glancing over at Yuri.
"She has alot of power, and I mean alot. But she only wants to focus in on fire..."
"Whats wrong with that?" Kimo asked.
Morgan sighed, "I've seen rocks with more magic level than you Kimo. You dont understand; a good witch needs to be able to wield and control all the elements, not just one. If she is going to be of any use, she needs to learn that."
Kimo nodded, "I get it. Its like giving a sword to a bow wielder, right?"
Morgan blinked, "Uh...sure." she said, not understanding what he had tried to point out. Kimo smiled, leaning against the rock, "Haku is healed up. He'll be leaving soon."
A crackle of thunder and a flash made them both whip around. Yuri stood, stunned in the field. The grass all around her was scorched black, and she smiled. "Wow! That was cool!" she said. Morgan shook her head, "That was a thunder attack Yuri. Be careful with that one." Yuri nodded, and Morgan turned back to Kimo, "Haku needs to stop going out on his own. He gets hurt, and often does reckless stuff...If he does find the keybearer, he may not even realize it."
Kimo nodded, narrowing his eyes, "Thats what I've been thinking too. But what can we do?"
Their gaze drifted over to Yuri as she shot of blast of ice into the air, and then they smiled. Kimo turned to Morgan, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" he asked. Morgan nodded, "Of course! Why didn't I think of that before?" she hopped down from the rock, "Stall Haku for a little while longer. I'll make sure Yuri knows all the spells and is ready."
Kimo waved a hand, "Right, that will be easy. Have fun with Yuri." he said before turning and heading towards the door. Morgan looked over at Yuri, "Yuri! Come here." she said. Yuri quickly stopped her ice spell and ran over, "Yes Teacher?" she asked. Morgan smiled, "I'm going to teach you quite a few spells today. They'll be all level 1, and you'll have to strengthen them yourself, but they'll be quite useful." she said. Yuri nodded, eager to see what new spells Morgan had in plan.
Haku was packing, carrying large boxes onto the Gummi Ship. Kimo watched, leaning against the wall. Haku narrowed his eyes, "Are you having fun watching me work?" he asked. Kimo shrugged, "More or less." Haku shook his head, picking up another box. As he put it on board, Morgan came through the doorway, Yuri behind her. Haku turned, "Oh great...what do you want?" he asked Morgan. Morgan smiled, "You act like I bug you twenty-four seven or something. Anyway, Kimo asked me to come here." Haku shot a glare at Kimo before looking back at Morgan. "What for?" he asked. Kimo smiled, "We thought you would get lonely zooming around in space and traveling the worlds."
Haku quickly shook his head, "No! I dont want either of you coming with me! I've told you that before, I dont need a grown-up nagging me!" he said. Morgan rolled her eyes, "Yeah right, like we would want to be stuck on a ship with you...and anyway, we're not going with you."
Morgan stepped aside, and Yuri blinked.
"She is." Kimo and Morgan said.
Haku stared, then laughed. "Your kidding me...right?"
Kimo shook his head, "Nope. Shes going with you, wether you like it or not."
"But shes a novice witch! She probably cant even cast a spark!"
Yuri narrowed her eyes, "Look whos talking! You cant use magic at all! Its not like I want to go with you anyway!" she snapped. Haku looked at Kimo, "Please! You cant be serious Kimo!"
"Shes going Haku." he said.
Morgan turned to Yuri, "Whatever you need, go pack it, and quickly."
Yuri looked at her, "Do I have to go with him? Hes such a -"
"I know, and yes, you have to go. You've been here for almost two weeks now, and you know enough magic to easily be a great help. And besides, Haku needs someone to watch him."
Yuri lowered her gaze, "Fine..." she suddnely smiled, "Be right back!" she said, turning and running. Haku groaned, hitting his head against the leg of the Gummi Ship. "Great..." he muttered.
Soon, the Gummi Ship was powering up. Haku sat in the pilot's seat, and Yuri sat in a chair beside him. He was trying his best to ignore her as he flipped switches. Yuri watched, excitement pulsing through her. "So, where are we going?" she asked. Haku buckled, "I dont know.....buckle up."
Yuri buckled as Haku grabbed the steering wheel, and the ship's legs tucked up inside as it hovered over the ground. Then, with a blast of speed, the ship shot forward, pressing Yuri back into her seat. It zoomed down the tunnel, then shot out into the outside. Haku pulled back on the wheel, and the ship veered up, screaming into the sky with amazing speed.
Yuri smiled as they went through cloud after cloud, blue sky rushing by. Before she knew it, she was looking out at stars and the vastness of space.
"Wow..." she said, awed by the sight.
Haku glanced back at her, "What? Its not that great." he said. Yuri looked at him, and he turned back to the front, driving on.
Back down below, Kimo and Morgan turned to another. "Think they'll be ok?" Kimo asked, scratching his head a little. Morgan smiled, "Sure. I've got a feeling that something great is about to take place."
