... The spider, it skillfully crawls across its web, spinning the silky strings and perfectly constructing a natural work of art; However, this work of art was disigned as a trap. A trap made by a murderer, who's intent was focused on one subject, its prey...
"Dad!!!" Andy called down the hallway, carfully moving away from the door, keeping a bright blue eye on the spot of concern. Expecting an attack from the danger presant, he yelled again. "DAD!!! Hurry up! Its moving!!" He started edging his petit body closer to the other end of the hallway. "DAD!"
"CALM DOWN!!!" Boomed a deeper voice. Andy stood pressed against the wall, wide-eyed, and panicked. "I'm right here, calm down. I got it ok?" Came the reassuring voice of a father.
A spider slowly worked its way across the wall, innocently searching for a better place to reside. What it was unawear of was the boy who'd been brought into a state of panic.
Ray, Andy's father, carefully extended his hand, while moving the other just below the spider. With one quick movement he pushed the spider off the wall and onto his other hand. "See, i got it, no worries." He smiled over his shoulder.
Moving carfully through the hall and out into the living space, trying hard not to drop it, he made his way to the open window near the couch. Once he was sure his son was in a spot he could see, he tossed the spider out the window.
"There its gone. You ok now?" Ray asked in a lighter tone, running a hand through his blond hair, then stretching his back. Ray is a very well built man who's body and face rivals those of most models, however time has left its marks on his featurs over the years.
Andy, who's skin is usually a darker tan than his dad's, was now much paler in compairison. Also unlike his father, Andy's hair is jet black in nature, making his blue eyes much more noticeable and exotic in apearence. Due to the fact that Andy had just woken up from a good nights sleep, he was still wearing the t-shirt and shorts he wore to bed, revealing the childlike apearence he inherited from his mother. Andy is eighteen.
"What am i suppose to think when you react like that over a single spider?" Ray continued, hardening his stare at his son while also trying to surpress a smile. "Your moving out in two days, you should act more like an adult."
Andy, slowly sat down on the other end of the couch, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "...you know i don't like spiders..." he mumbled.
The living space was a simple one. An apartment consisting of two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a livingroom and kitchen put together. It was easily brightend up by the sun through the open window. Ray lazily fell back in the seat next to his son, pulling him close while ruffling his hair, "Say the cute little kid who hasn't changed his habbits." He laughed. "I should have never let that guy take you away." Ray sighed.
Andy struggled to escape the hold of his father. "That guy! Is someone i care about a lot, and i'd gladly pick him over some geezer with a son complex!" Andy challenged. He grabbed hold of his dad's huge hands, Andy's looking fragile compaired to his. "But i won't completly forget you.... maybe when i get a couple hours free i'll visit you in that retirment home of yours." Ray grimced, moving in to put his son in another head lock, "Hey! you cheaky brat! I'm not that old yet!" The two laughed as Andy playfully dogged a few of the playfull blows, quieting down as they watched the sunlight bighten the rest of the apartment up, Andy in his father's arms.
"You know your mother was a lot like you.." Ray sighed, eyes trailing off in the distence. Andy's expression faded a little, "...What was she like." he asked.
"Beutifully bliss. She always knew how to brighten up a room.... even when she was freaking out over spiders. A trait you got from her." He laughed. "...She was always so... sure, of what she was doing. Like how she was sure she would have a boy." He smiled. "Everyone said you'd be a girl. did you know that? But no, your mom was positive you were a boy... your grandma. She would spout how it was a must you would be a girl, because for the last five generations the best looking women were bred in this family. Your mom, your grandma, your great grandma, all very beutiful women. However, you mom didn't care. She replied by saying, 'then he will be a very pretty boy.'.... and she was right." Ray laughed. Andy quickly pulled away from his father, face red, "HEY! I am a boy you know!!" he protested.
Ray shook his head, "I know i know, you are. Good at sports and and all that other stuff... but your a perfect house wife too, good at cleaning cooking, and even picking up guys!" He teased... "... but i'm happy for you... He's a good guy Andy, and I know i don't have to worry about you when your with him... your mom would be happy too" Andy looked back at his father.
The doorbell sounded...
Andy quickly jumped up to open the door, excitedly ready for what he knew was on the other side. Struggling to unlock the padlock he threw the door open and shouted, "Your late!!!"
Andy was quickly swept off his feet and engulfed in a hug, then he was swung around ounce before set back down. "Who's ready for breakfast?" He grinned, holding up a bag of fast food for Ray.
Ray sternly looked at the boy holding the food, the he took the bag and walkd off to the small wooden table next to the kitchen area, "You missed it Jason, there was another spide panic this morning." Ray grumbled taking out the food.
Jason, Andy's boyfriend, and current vp of a high end corperation. He is only ninteen years old, and is already on his way to hitting it big. Tall, lean, and confident, Jason is perfect when it comes to building a life. "Oh? Must of been disterbed by all the packing. How big was it?" He grinned, teasing Andy by acting out spider legs with his hands. Andy shook his head and joined his father with the food. "It was huge." Andy stated, hoping his word would mean something.
Ray laughed throwing a breakfast burger to Jason, "The size of my thumb." Jason shook his head, "A tiny thing like that? your getting worse Andy." The two older men laughed, and Andy could only glare at the two as he bit into his own food.
"Well, todays the last for packing. And i got the keys to the place this morning." Jason informed the other two. "Just today and tommorow and its official."
"Huh, well Just be sure not to forget i'm around. If i don't hear from either of you in a week i'm ganna show up wenever i want." Ray grumbled.
"Your always welcome." The other two chimed together, both just as tired as the oher of repeating it.
Three days later.
Andy stood next to a pile of boxes, sorting through the objects with the apartment phone pressed to his ear. Rain had been hitting the window all day. It was 6:15 in the afternoon and it was already getting dark. "Yeah Dad I called him,he said he was going to be a little late. Its no big deal i got it, its not to hard setting things up you know." Andy listened to his father rant for a while, "Ok DAD i get it, i'll call you tommorow.... good night." Andy hung up the phone.
He didn't even put the phone down when it started ringing again. Andy quickly picked it up, "Dad I told you i'd call tommorow!!-oh! Jason, sorry." Andy picked up a couple plates and headed to the kitchen.
"Hey! I know i said I'd be late, but i might be a little longer. The whole street is flooded!" Jason exclaimed. he quickly pulled the car around another corner.
"Ok how long do you think you'll be? I ordered some pizza for us." Andy shoved a couple boxes out of the way.
"Well i might pull over for a little while till the rain clears a little."
"Ok, it is pooring like crazy right now." Andy froze, "Oh- um, god there's another spider!" The door bell rang.
"Really? You ok? just calm down, its probably just passing by." Jason encuraged.
"N-no i'm fine, hey just a sec, someone at the door." Andycarfully backed away from where the spider was at. Then when he got to the door he continued talking, "I didn't think the pizza would get here so fast." Openning the door Andy realized two people were there, both police.
"hey why don't i go for now, I'll call you when i'm almost home ok?" Jason informed.
The two police officers looked at Andy seriously, "Um sir, Do you live here?"
Andy held the phone closer to his ear, "um ok baby, i love you, be safe."
"I love you too bye." Jason hung up.
Andy turned back to the two police officers. "Yes i live here."
"Do you know a man named Jason Ramone?"
Andy hesetatly shook his head. "He's my-my boyfriend... why?"
The police officers frowned a little more. "I'm sorry son, earlier today we got a call in about a car crash.... and. Jason was involved.... he's dead"
The phone dial started to sound and within seconds it dropped to the floor.....
