• It was Summertime at the beach! Time for fun, sun, and a good TAN! cool I started to build a sand castel. When I finished it was so big a rat or mouse could live in it! I built a moat around it. Just as I was looking for a flag to stick on the top all the kids started to move out of the water and wishper to their parents.
    When suddley I saw something move in the water surprised ! I heard my brother scream! I moved toward the blue. Feeling the water splash against my feet. It was a nice feeling. It was warm and cool at the same time. The thing was dark and look like a chocolate color. I thought to myself It is low tide. What fish can swim in low tide? I slowly put my hand down into the water. When I thouched it a pulled it back as fast as I could. It was like touching a snake thats slimey. What was it?
    I reached down and rub it's back. (Atleast what I thought was its back) It was feathery. Like a bird. It looked like it was a fish. But what fish has feathers? As I looked closer the feathers seem to be diffrent colors. It was like they changed...
    I tried to pick it up but it bite me! It had razor sharp theeth like a lion! The one thing I noticed a tail... Like a cat. Long a furry. I was getting freaked out! I ran out of the water!
    I ran back to backpack and grabbed my notebook. I jotted down some facts about it. I drew a quick picture of it!
    I ran to this guy who lives in a beach house facing the beach. (He was an animal guy) I knocked fast and hard on his door and rang his doorbell 30 times then he finaly came to the door. I gave him my notebook and showed him my drawing. He came to the beach with me.
    He looked at it for a while observing it closely, he jotted down some notes and then "It is a plyionatish!" He shouted so people could hear all along the beach "It has the body of a platypus! The theeth of a lion! The tail of a cat and it can swim like a fish! They were found last year and as of right now there are only 100 of them in the whole world!!
    Everyone cheered and went to pet the thing. They all fed it and hugged it! I was proud that I could help this beach get it peace back! As we were driving home we notice a animal limping along the side of the road. We pulled over a looked at it.......
