I came home from school, Day off from practise, Little did I know, What waited for me.
I came inside, My mom said we needed to talk, Little did I konw, What waited for me.
She said Gidgi was dying, She hadn't been eating, Eleven years old, Two more days to live, Little did I know, What waited for me.
I ran outside, And kissed Gidgi's little head, She smiled up at me, Tail at top speed, You would of never have known, What was wrong, Unless you could read her mind.
She gave me that doggie smile, Her big brown eyes loosing its sparkle, She just layed down and looked up at me, Confused to why I cried so.
I'll never forget today, The day I saw a saint, Go into eternal slumber.
