The Family Values Tour was a concert I have been waiting for since March. The sole reason I was going was to see Dir en Grey, a band I have loved for three and half years. But ofcourse, something has to go wrong.
I went to the venue at 3:00 P.M. mind you, it is on the beach, and it isn't enclosed at all.
There was a hurricane going on. Me and my boyfriend sat there for an hour, watched some crappy opening bands. Then they said they were taking a "short break" because high tide was coming in over the seats and the stage. They evacuated everyone from their seats.
There was buzz going around that they were going to open it back up at 7:30 (it was 4:00 at this time) but only the two main bands, Deftones and Korn were going to play, then it would be over. DeG was cancelled along with five other bands.
Only Toshiya and Die came out for autographs, and I was on line for it. Then I found out you had to buy one of their albums to get an autograph. So I basically admired them from afar. The least they could have done is have all five of them come out, considering they weren't going to play.
So they made us wait till 7:30 at night just to tell us they cancelled the rest of the concert. I wasted a day on this half assed show, because of a damn hurricane. I was looking foward to this show for five months. And ofcourse they can't reschedule, it's a tour. I was pissed. Fortunately, there's a full refund for my ticket. But that hardly makes up for the hours I spent in a mini skirt and knee socks with rain pelting me and the wind strong enough to knock me over.
I hate life.
