Sample Story
So maybe this is the way it will always be. A young, pretty woman stands in front of the window, pondering. Maybe this was my last chance...my last...
The word echoes in her mind weakly like a single note on repeat, last, last, last.
And slowly the consequence of the situation settles in and she opens her eyes and she sees and everything that was once in perfect harmony and once complete and whole has suddenly become disruptive and it has shattered, crash! is the sound it makes as it gracefully covers the floor in its tiny pieces, no longer whole. That is the situation, it is incomplete and inharmonious. No...no...that is her. Lord Almighty, she is breaking.
What can anyone do to protect her? There is no family, no guard. And there won't ever be. She will never see the light she yearns to see because the window is draped and all she does is stare at the befittingly dark curtains. She has been assigned the wrong life and now...and now there is no second chance, no turning away, no nothing, because she is nothing. She is young with a long life of this misery in store for her. She is pretty, a treat to the eye, but the reflection of her image produces nothing but an emptiness in her.
The eyes on that pretty face flutter close and she smiles like she has a beautiful secret.
