The spring day was warm with just a hint of showers later towards the evening. In the park the wedding was going well, people smiling joyfully, 'oohing' and 'awing' the cute couple as the stood by the small alter, hands together as they took their vows. The groom was dressed in a blue silk Changshan with a gold and red dragon sewn into it. His long hair was pulled back into a pony tail and she was clearly nervous but happy. The bride wore a white Furisode with a gold and yellow phoenix on hers. She was beautiful with pearls in her hair and sewn into her dress. The day was one to be enjoyed and remembered for years to come. But off in the distance, far back from the joy stood a figure that none could see or hear. She had tried yelling at them, screaming and crying for someone to listen, but she realized all to late that she wasn't there. She wasn't alive. She was a ghost floating through the world and even though she had no heart, she could feel it breaking all over again. Walking up to the bride and groom, she put her hand over his and could feel his skin and his warmth but he paid no mind to her. She could feel herself crying but there were no tears. Only the pain. Only the memories. A wind kicked up and blew her hair about and she heard a voice, low and old, speak to her from a place lost in time. You will live forever with this pain. You will watch him move on without and lose all memory of you. This is your payment for betraying me. Suffer forever.
