"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly."
The young girl stood in the kitchen of her suburban home, her mother and father standing before her and her healthy brother. They already knew what their parents were going to tell them. Their brother was dying - again. Their parents' faces was sunken and grim looking, with dark shadows under their eyes. As they worked up the nerve to tell their children, they bit back tears. Their mom spoke first, "Your brother needs a new kidney. If he doesn't get one in time, he'll die." Even though they both have heard words similar to these before tears caught in the childrens' eyes. No one in the family was a match to her brother, so they had to wait for a donor to donate a kidney.
The youngest child, and the only girl, was called Susan Marie Kingsly. Her brother had been ill since she was seven-years-old; well technically since she was five but they caught it when she turned seven. Susan has her mother's bright blue eyes and her father's brown hair with a hint of red in it from her mother. Her parents spend all their time at the hospital or working to get money to pay the bills. Sometimes she finds herself feeling jealous of her sick brother, but then the jealously is quickly replaced with sympathy. She spends most of her time with her healthy brother, who watches her when their parents are gone. Though, she argues that she doesn't need a babysitter.
Susan rummaged around in her room searching for money. She managed to get enough for the new game she's been wanting. She rushed off on her bike to the game store and purchased it.
