Voug The story of Naku
Once every full moon of the winter months, a husky will be born in the Hasuki clan, but an unusual birth took place on the 7th of August. The legend has it that the birth of a Hasuki must be in the winter months, or else the cub may be cursed. The cursed cub will have to endure many hardships, but usually the cub will die of the clan leaders' judgment. When the leaders judge, it will be when the cub four days old. After the judgment, the cub will be named by its grandparents. On the 10th day from its birth, the cub will be taught about the clan business. From then on, the cub will learn to shift shape and other skills. On the 7th of August, a female Hasuki cub was born. This was an omen of great death of the clan, so the cub was an outcast. On the 11th day of August, the clan leaders did not judge the cub, but sentenced her to death. Her mother, Hasuki Subayai, stepped in and said that she will take the place of cub. Therefore, Subayai was killed on that day, which became the day of mourning. The grandparents that named the cub were Subayai's parents. Since everyone was mourning of her death, they named the cub, Naku, which means 'to cry.' On the 14th of August, Naku was playing outside and just shift shaped into a human girl. ----- If a cub shift shapes into a human, early, then that is a good omen of the cub's life. ----- No one knew of this because on the same day and time, Naku's half brother was born. Her half brother is a Hasuki, but a rare breed of a Hasuki because he is a half of a husky and a human. ----- In the Hasuki clan, when a Hasuki and a human have a baby, the baby will be stronger than the strongest Hasuki warrior. Therefore, the baby's birth month does not matter. ------ Her brother's name is Hasuki Rakki. He also prematurely shift shaped. His childhood was full of light. ------ Naku's childhood was dark, but she had freewill to do whatever she wanted. The Hasuki clan is known for their many servants, but Naku was never given any because everyone was afraid of her. Plus, the The curse that followed the 'premature' Hasuki cubs made people who were close to the cub die. This curse was a bad omen to the business of the clan, so many cubs were slaughtered due to this 'curse.' Was this curse true? No one ever knew the truth. Rumor has it that Naku slept outside and was never really inside of the Hasuki mansion. The reason is that Naku had no reason to be inside, since no one really cared for her. The only time she would go into the mansion is when she needs to get books, but it did not bother anyone because no one goes into the library. From all the books that Naku read, she was able to learn the skills that Hasukis need to survive. She also played with wolf cubs because she liked them. ---- There's a story with Naku Naku also kept notebooks to draw and write in. All of them had pages filled with wolves. They constantly filled, so Naku had to find more. She would usually find notebooks in the library, but when she got older, she got sick and tired of going into the mansion. So, she decided to get a job. By the time she was 15, she went to a village nearby, but of course she never told her identity to anyone. She got a job at a local diner/ inn. She was a waitress and later a cook. --- She changed her name to Chou Karasu, but she had Naku as her middle name. --- The owner was impressed of Karasu's diligence, so she decided to teach Karasu of the art of cooking. Of course, Karasu quickly got a hold of the technique. The owner was an old widow, whose children had gone to the city to find their fortune. That year, the old widow died of old age and left Karasu all of the things that she owned. The old widow did not give anything to her children, except a few thousand dollars. Karasu owned the diner, but she felt something was missing. She decided to sell the diner, but kept the widow's house to store the items she left for Karasu. When Karasu was 16, she in listed to the war. ---- This war is the Great Frog's Fog. This war was about the frog poison that was expelled in main waterways by a laboratory. This laboratory was using frog poison to create a type of medicine, but somewhere in the research went wrong. This error lend to the creation of a mutation of the lab rats. This mutation became a disease that spread onto the scientists and workers there. They mutated into things that were gross and toxic. (turn to page 120 to learn more) --- She went to the war because she learned that many people were dying because of this outbreak and wanted to help. --- This war required strong people. The war was sponsored by a company called "Voug." --- Although training was rough, Karasu survived, but the worse was to come. Karasu was placed into many groups of soldier, but all of them died except her... --- Karasu is known to be a war hero because she was one of the survivors of the war, but also she killed many of the mutants. --- After the war was over, she was 17, but after that she disappeared. The rumor is that she died, or changed her name... --- Fun fact- Karasu was married during her service to a man named Hane Taka. They both owned a coffee shop, but unfortunately he died during his service. His body was never found, for some unknown reason... ---------------- Glam sighed and she noticed that somewhere in May's diary was a person named Naku? Glam quickly took out May's diary and searched where Naku came up, and there it was.
