I am revisiting an old anime series that I used to watch when I was in middle school. It is called Rurouni Kenshin. Rurouni Kenshin is about a wandering samurai called Kenshin Himura, who used to be a deadly assasin known as Hatokiri Battosai in the past but now he is going around trying to redeem himself. But Kenshin appears to be a clumsy guy with a kind heart but when it comes to fighting, he is not be messed with. He whips out that Reverse Blade Sword and kicks butt.
The next character is a young girl named Kaoru Kamiya. She runs a dojo that teaches the Kamiya Kasshin style (a sword technique) which is about unlocking your full potential. Kaoru is a short tempered young girl who strongly believes in the teachings of her family's sword style. She is a strong fighter herself but she tends to be a bit of a damsel in distress sometimes.
Then we have the rogue fighter, Sanosuke Sagara. Sano for short. Sano uses a huge halberd as weapon and was part of a guerrilla team that opposes imperialists. But he was really young when he did so. Now Sano is like a soldier for hire. Despite his cocky attitude, Sano is very superstitious about cameras and trains.
Then we have Yahiko, Kaoru's orphaned student. Yahiko is like Sano, kinda cocky and very stubborn. He has a argumentive relationship with Kaoru but still respects her. But above all, he respects Kenshin and admires Kenshin's fighting technique and honor.
Lastly we have Megumi. Megumi is a very sly woman who works with medicine and poisons. She was once used by a gang of bad people to make drugs and stuff but she then meets Kenshin and everything changes. Megumi helps with any injuries the Kenshin gang sustains. Sano often calls her Fox Woman because of her sly, fox-like nature.
