VOUG “So this is Voodoo Forest?” asked Detective Oaky, looking out to the trees surrounding the area. “At least, I think so, the GPS said so.. so it’s right, right?” said Feo, the trainee. “Sure, it should be right, it kinda looks familiar in a shocking way,” replied Detective Oaky. “Huh?” asked Feo. “Never mind..” “What is your name?” asked Feo. “Robla,” said Robla Oaky. “What does that mean?” Robla smirked, “It’s supposed to be Roble, but I changed it to Robla. In Spanish it means, oak.” “… Your last name and first mean oak…” “So?” “What is your real name?” “Stop the Q&A and let’s start going!” +++ Somewhere… “This place is deserted! it’s going to be the best place for our experiments!” yelled woman. “But, how come there’s smoke coming from the forest? I bet someone or people are living there,” said a man wearing glasses. “What if they are savages?” asked a woman wearing a dress. “Don’t worry! This place couldn’t have any savages, this place is a forest, owned by the mayor,” said a man wearing a construction hat, “He was just nice enough to accept our “donation”.” “Heh, it take too much to please him,” said the woman wearing a dress. “Right,” said the man wearing glasses. The group of people stumbled upon a camp or a village of monsters. There were ogres, bat-things, werewolves, and ect. The group of people talked to the main person of this village about making peace with humans and monsters. The main person was a bat-thing and decided this idea was good to make peace with the humans, yet the villagers disagreed with this idea. The bat-thing just agreed to this because just of greed from the humans. The group of people and some villagers built a giant building, where everyone in the village will sleep in. The group of people are scientist that want to make monsters into humans and humans to monsters, by changing their DNA and other stuff… The villagers were mistreated and they became test hamsters, and so did other humans that came along in this expedition. The scientists became crazed with a curse from a local witch, with made them unable to tell the safety of the experiments. They even became their own experiments and so did the local animals that feed them. The scientists finally changed the physical appearances of the children monsters. The children looked and aged like human children, except they lacked the mind of a child. The scientists were unable to handle the children, but they were able to keep them in eyesight, except two. They were a boy and girl, one who’s a bat-thing and the other was an ogre. In the ancient laws, there is someone for everyone and the boy and the girl were destined to be together. He would always protect her, while she would always be at his back helping him, but the only problem with this law is that there’s 99% chance of them being together. 1.5% of the time is involved with death because when you love someone so much, you would even die for them. .5% of the time is that you took another path. In this story, he took another path. -=-=- “So, where are we going?” asked Feo. “We’re going to the parking lot,” said Detective Oaky. “Weren’t we there already?” asked Feo “Nope, there are two parking lots; one for the public and a hidden one.” “Whoa! How did you know?” “It’s my job. Plus, the vic told us about them not finding there cars, but the only reason they couldn’t find their cars is that someone or something is throwing away their cars.” “But why?” “Isn’t obvious? They want them to stay.” “That’s odd…” “Well, it seems that the ranger station is open. The Melissa said it was closed when they got there, but someone died there.” “Maybe the rangers there are also on the case! Maybe they can help us!” “No, Feo. They might have something to do something with the murders, so please act like we’re friends out camping and are asking for some directions.” “Okie dokie!” Feo and Detective Oaky entered the ranger station and were greeted by a elderly ranger. “Well what do we have here?” asked the elderly ranger. Detective Oaky smiled, “We’re here on a camping trip. We always go camping at this time of the year, so why not try Voodoo Forest?” The ranger nodded and grinned, “Yes, Voodoo Forest is a great place to camp. We rarely get any campers around here, so that’s why there’s a lot of nature around us. Let me get you guys a map!” the ranger dug around her desk to find a map, “Here you go!” “Thanks a lot!” thanked Detective Oaky, “Oh and by the way, is there any attractions around here?” “Hmm, well there is always that silly volcano cave.” “Ooo! A volcano cave!” said Feo. “It’s very close to here and it’s very popular around here. Let me point it out the map,” said the ranger. “So, are they any legends about this cave?” asked Detective Oaky. “Nope.” “Okay, well I guess we got to go. See ya later!” said Detective Oaky, while she and Feo left the station and then, they hiked to Volcano Cave. +++ After they reached Volcano Cave, they quickly set camp and rested. “The ranger was strange like she was hiding something,” said Oaky. “The rangers must have something to do with this crime!” said Feo. “Well duh, they didn’t even report a dead body that was suppose to be at the station!” “Well, couldn’t someone clean it up?” “If the did, they didn’t do a great job. The bullet was in plain sight.” “I don’t understand! Why couldn’t anyone see it?” “Something is just out of league.” “So you’re just backing out!?” Oaky chuckled, “Of course not! Are you kidding me? This case is like my dream case!” “Oh.” “You know, I’m not getting any younger and I feel that I’m soon gonna retire.” “Huh.” ”All my life, I’ve worked and worked my way up here and one day it’s all going to shambles. I can’t lose that. It’s part of me.” “I see.” ”You won’t understand today, but one day you’ll understand.” “I guess so.” “Let’s go, if we wait any longer we’re goners,” said Oaky as she stood up and grabbed her pack and started for the mouth of Volcano Cave. Feo stood up and grabbed for his pack and followed Oaky into the cave, “So, do you think we’re half way solving the mystery?” “No. We detectives, never think of the percentage that we have done. We think of the percentage we haven’t done.” “So..” “Please be quiet.” Oaky and Feo approached a large underground door, “This is funny. It looks just like the door that the vic described.” “Yup.” “I guess we should open it.”
