Growing up Mathew was your typical little kid, he had many friends and was good at all sports. He never once thought that he could be anything but normal. He had a normal family, a mum, dad, and little sister. But that all changed on his sixth birthday when his father took him aside and told him that he wasn't normal, that he was one of the farthest things from normal, and that he wasn't even human. His father told him that he had powers that ran in his side of the family. He explained to Mathew that he was part of a race called the inhumans and that within that race there were thousands of other races such as vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, and much much more. Mathew was amazed by what he was being told and wanted to know what he was. His father explained that Mathew was of two species, he was a type of shape-shifter that could only change into one thing, a white tiger. He could completely transform into a white tiger, or he could only take out his ears, tail, and eyes. The other thing he was, was simply called an ice user. The power to create ice from little tiny holes in his hands, then control and contort it anyway he wanted. His father then told him that he would teach him how to control his powers as long as he promised not to tell anyone about them, even his mother and sister. Mathew of course agreed, and for two years was taught how to use his powers. After the two years Mathew was exceptional at using his powers, he could turn or make anything out of ice and had even mastered using his ice abilities while in tiger form, something that no one else in his family could do. He practised his powers everyday after school in his backyard while his mother was at work and his sister was at the nannies. But one day his mother came home early and saw what Mathew was doing, she instantly became furious and grabbed Mathew by the shoulders shaking him slightly screaming at him that he must never ever use his powers because everyone will think hes a freak and hate him. After that Mathew didn't practice anymore, and when his father asked why he told him the same thing his mother had told him. This caused a huge fight between his mother and father, which followed by his father leaving them, sadly his father couldn't take Mathew or his little sister with him so they had to stay with their mother.

Living with their mother proved to be a very hard task that cost Mathew his sisters life. His mother had a break down when their father had left. She blamed everything on Mathew saying that if he hadn't been born a freak that everything would have been fine, his father wouldn't have left and everything would have been perfect. Then when their mother found out that his little sister also had the power to transform into a tiger, she started to beat them, till they were bloody on the floor. Mathew always took care of his sister blocking the majority of the hits for her by getting hit by them himself. Whenever he could Mathew would take his sister away from the house and go to a park or something, he worked many many jobs so that he could feed him and his sister. He had to carry all his money on him at all times because if he left it at home his mother would take it and give it to her drug dealer boyfriend so that he will still claim he loved her. She sold all their things to do this and even went as far as to kick Mathew and his sister on the streets. Mathew worked hours on end to earn enough money to rent an apartment for him and his sister. But when he came home one day he found his sister dead on the floor of their apartment with his mother above her with crazy eyes holding a knife in her hands. His mother was going on and on about how they pay people who kill inhumans and that she needed more money so that her boyfriend wouldn't kill her. Mathew in a blind rage killed his mother then burst into tears and fell to his knees at his sisters bloody body, he had worked so hard to keep him and his sister safe. After taking care of both bodies he went to sleep. When he woke up the next morning he had a different mind set. His mind had gone back to when he was a kid, when things were simpler, and when his life had been good. He didn't have complete control over his powers, and he didn't understand a lot of things such as love and hate. He left his home and left his city, he went from city to city, town to town, village to village, looking for a place he wanted to stay. Everywhere he went he made friends with people, but he never stayed long enough to see them get hurt and he never told them what he was. Then as a few years passed and he entered another small village he saw someone who looked oddly familiar, a young woman that was a few years younger then himself that had long grey hair. She was with a large group of people talking and having fun. He heard one of the girls she was with call her name and he almost had a heart attack right there and then. He then realized where he had seen her before, she looked exactly like his little sister and she had the same name. He ran to the girl and almost cried as he pulled her into a hug. The young woman was surprised by what was going on but didn't push him away, she simply asked to know why he was hugging her. He explained everything to her and was expecting her to think he was crazy and even call him that, but instead she believed him and even offered him to live with her. He of course agreed and lived with his sister for a very long time getting to know her friends and learning that when ever someone he cared about or he got hurt his mind would go to his real age and he would have full control of his powers, but once he was shocked or scared he would go back to his child mind set.

After years of living with his sister and reconnecting both halves of his mind so that he always has control over himself. He decided to go off on his own again, he went back to his old town dyed his hair blonde and got a job as a model. He became famous almost instantly, he worked hard and earned plenty of money that he sent most of to his sister so that she could live in luxury. After ten years of doing so he received a letter of invitation from one of his friends from when he was living with his sister inviting him to go on a cruise on his friends new boat that he had bought, it was going to be a reunion. He couldn't wait to see his sister after all those years, he had gotten word from her that she had gotten married.
