Alice Cullen's name was Mary Alice Brandon. She was sent to an asylum because she was having visions of the future. In the asylum, an old,weak vampire favoured her. So when a tracker named James wanted to drink her blood, the old weak vampire transformed Alice into a strong new one. Shortly after, she saw an image of another vampire named Jasper, and she ran off to meet him. Jasper became Alice's mate, and they joined the Olympic Covern with the rest of the Cullens.
