Yes, well its that time of year where everyone is maxing out their credit cards and going out and getting skint, but down to the point everyone has a good time right? WRONG!
After christmas day with all the jolly's dont you just stop for a second come back down to reality, OH s**t! I'm skint, I'm drunk, I'm ill and i think i made a pass at my cousin earlier. That's the harsh reality!
but its christmas so they'll forgive you, but don't think that it would make you immune to a bashing the rest of the year! That's the point, think about it, it's not the way the world works.
Like for example, someone in my family bought some food in iceland and is now complaining today that she bought it with the money she got for christmas, WHO CARES? its money, you're eating it and they try and make you feel bad about it, but the point is, if they have more authority than you you can't tell them to shut the hell up and get on with it. It's harsh, but someday Karma will restore the balance right? NO!
It's a liberty isn't it? I mean, I know if someone's done something bad to me leaving it to karma would not have a consequence for them, but probably one for me, the point is in this world you make your own luck and you fight your own battles.
And the harsh reality means theres always a time like this where you miss the ones you can't be with, like in the new year my best friend is moving 3 hours away from me and I will miss her all the time obviously, but at this time of year the most! It's a harsh truth that at this time of year in the jolly goings on, you'll always somehow have sadness, whether it be a first christmas without a loved one or whether you lost someone close at christmas time. Now thats the truth across the miles at christmas time- pfft, who cares about a christmas card across the miles, I'd much rather be with them in person!
