Jake with Who?

Jake has a new girlfriend it is...

“Please?” asked Jake.
“No.”
“Please!”
“No Jake!”
“Just for this week.”said Jake.
“No.”
“Please? You can go back after. I'll do anything!” begged Jake.
“Jake no! What do you not get about no!?”
“Just this week!”
“No because you will ask for the next three weeks.”
“No I won't please. This once!”
“Wait what about-”
“I knew you were going to find a fault. Please? I'll never do it again Mandy.”
“Fine but no one finds about it!”said Mandy.
“I promise! And thanks Mandy!”
“No problem. Just this week though!”
“Yep.”
I can't believe I said yes to him. It's Jake! He is like the opposite of who I am looking for. Maybe he is who I am looking for. He is being kind to me a lot more. Maybe he is the one. He helped me decide about Kevin Jason and Nate. Oh gosh how can I think Jake is the one. I mean he is Jake he is so immature and childish.
While thinking some more she got a call. “Hello?”
“Hey Mandy's Serena.”
“Hey Serena. What's going on?”
“Nothing much. You?”
“I have huge news for you!”
“What?”
“Well Jake has a wedding and he is in it. So he asked me if I would go. I was like why me? He said because I was the closets girl friend to him. So I said yes. But I think something is going to happen.”
“Like?”
“I don't know I just have a feeling something either bad or good will happen.”
“Weird. Hey I'll talk to you later I got to go. Bye Mandy.”
“Bye Serena.”
Mandy started to think more about why Jake asked her to go. Maybe he is just trying to be nice for once or maybe he did something or is going to do something at the wedding! No he wouldn't go that far. But it is Jake he does things at random times. “Maybe he is serious this time.” “Who is serious about what?”
With a jump Mandy turned around to see Jason and Kevin. “What are you guys doing here?”
“We came for a walk.”
“Oh.”said Mandy.
“So who were you talking about?”asked Kevin
“Oh no one just thinking about something.”
“And that something is?”asked Jason.
“Nothing you guys are so nosy!”
“Hey we just want to- it was something important.”said Jason.
“How do you know it was important or not?”
“Because when something is important you speak your thoughts. Now tell us Mandy.” “How did you come to that? Why do you want to know?”
“We've been friends forever Mandy. I think I could see it sooner or later!”
“Fine “he” is Jake and what I meant by serious is he invited me to his cousins wedding and he asked me as his date. So I think he is serious about this.”
“Maybe he is. But you can never really trust Jake for the whole time.”
“I think I can trust him this time.”
“If I were you I would watch out.”said Kevin.
“Thanks guys but there is something different about Jake right now. I have this feeling about him. It's different. I've never felt it before.”
“I have one question.”
“Yes Kevin?”said Mandy
“Do you like Jake?”
“What! You think I like Jake!”exclaimed Mandy.
“Well you never had this feeling before. Maybe you do.”said Jason.
“No it isn't possible! Jake is just my friend we have known each other since ever since the summer before the seventh grade.”
“It might be possible Mandy. He has known you for a while and he might like you.”
“You never know.”said Kevin.
“Hmm. Maybe but no he couldn't I know what I have to do.”
“And that is?” Mandy totally ignored what Kevin said.
“I've got it! I'll see you guys later!”
Mandy went running toward Renee and Serena's house. “Guys I have major trouble!”Mandy said when Serena opened the door.
“Does it have to do with Jeremy or Kevin?”
“No.”
“Okay then what happened?”
“Okay Jake asked me to go to his cousin's wedding and I said yes. But I feel he is setting me up. But I have this feeling and it is different than anything I've ever felt.”
“Maybe you like him?”asked Renee.
“That's what Kevin and Jason just said!”
“Do you know if he likes you?”asked Serena
“No but he probably doesn't I mean it is Jake and he has been my friend and enemy since the summer before seventh grade but he couldn't like me!”
“Maybe he does Mandy. You never know.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
“Just go to the wedding and don't act suspicious but watch his movements.”
“Thanks guys you are the best.” “
Your welcome and we are open anytime.”said Renee with a laugh.
A week before the wedding Mandy got picked up by Jake's cousin so they could get to the hotel and get settled. “Hey Tera can I talk to you for a minute?”
“Sure Mandy what's going on?”
“I think I like Jake but I don't know if he likes me.”
“Well maybe you should ask him.”
“Well I don't like him but I have this feeling it is a feeling I have never had before.”
“Hmm. How long have you known my cousin?”
“About three years or so. Why?”
“Maybe Jake does like you he has probably liked you since he met you but never told you.”
“Maybe but Jake has always teased me and the other girls.”
“Don't worry he has always done that to all of us trust me Mandy. He is a menace but he can be sweet at times.”
“Yeah.”
“Don't worry Mandy he wont do anything. If he does he will have to talk to me.”
“Thanks Tera.”
“No problem. And don't worry Mandy.”
“That's the thing that is bugging me I can't stop worrying.”Mandy muttered to herself.
“Come on Mandy lets go get ready.”
The wedding was in two days and Mandy was on watch for what Jake was doing. He seemed normal to her but he was being extra nice to her. Mandy had her suspicions for the next two days then there was wedding.
“I really hope everything will be okay today.”Mandy said to Renee.
“Mandy calm down everything is going to be fine. Jake isn't going to do anything.”said Renee into her phone.
“Yeah but what if he does?”
“Either get away from him or just ignore him.”
“Why oh why did I have to say yes?”
“Good question. Maybe Jake is the guy for you Mandy you'll just have to wait and see.”
“I knew you were going to say that Renee. Well I got to go.”
“Okay good luck. Bye Mandy.”
The wedding was beautiful and everyone had a great time. Jake went up and did his reading then it was to the reception. Finally a slow song came on and Jake asked Mandy to dance. “I didn't know you knew how to slow dance.”
“There is a lot you don't know about me Mandy.”Jake said.
“So why did you invite me to the wedding? And tell me truly.”
“I guess you were the one out of the three of you that I knew the most.”
“Well yeah but what about Renee or Serena? You used to like Renee and you like Serena now.”
“I guess everything has changed with me.”
“What do you mean Jake?”asked Mandy.”
“I don't really know. I guess I'm becoming more mature.”
“I can see that.”
“Mandy the real reason I asked you to come was I wanted to ask you something.”
“What's that Jake?” Mandy had some suspicion when Jake said this.
“Would you like to be my girlfriend?”Jake asked slowly.
Mandy was shocked Jake had asked her. She couldn't even look at him she was so surprised. “Um Jake?”
“Yes?”
“Why me?”Mandy said with a smile.
“Well because you are different. You are shy but at the same time so energetic. Your different then the other girls.”Jake explained.
“Really? If you like me then why have you always played stupid pranks on me and my friends?”
“I guess I was just trying to hide myself behind everything. Didn't want to show my true side to you yet.”
“So your saying since you've known me you have liked me?”asked the confused Mandy.
“Exactly. So will you?”Jake asked with a shy smile.
“I'll think about it.”
Jake didn't know what to say when Mandy said this. He just stared blankly at her. “So your saying... Mandy?”
Mandy just stood there smiling back at him. “Yes. I will Jake.”
“Wait one moment.”
The song was just ending when Jake went up to the DJ.
“You think I could make a request?”asked Jake.
“Sure why not. Here's the mic.”
Jake took the microphone from the DJ. "I would like to dedicate this song to my cousin Tera and her new husband Austin and my new girlfriend Mandy. Hope your marriage stay together forever."
Jake jumped off the stage and walked over to Mandy. “You didn't have to do that.”
“Didn't have to. But wanted to. May I have this dance?”
“You may.” Mandy said while grabbing Jake's hand.
“And you thought I was just a jerk.”
Mandy laughed but couldn't say anything. It was like she was hypnotized by Jake. All she could do was look into his eyes and smile.

So if Mandy is with Jake after all these years what will happen with everyone else when they find out? Is the world going to end? Will Rene and Serena ever talk to Mandy again?! A good writer never reveals a good story. (But I am not a good writer yet! No one has heard of me!)

Before we saw that Jake asked Mandy to be his girlfriend at his cousins wedding. But how will everyone react when they hear this shocking news? Frightened? Confused? Happy? Or just strange?

"So Jake tell me again why me?"Mandy asked in the car back to Pepperell.
"Because you are different Mandy. We have known each other forever and your nice and pretty smart. I could make a whole list of things about you."
"I'm still so confused by that. I mean if you and the guys have played those stupid pranks on us then why haven't you stopped if you liked me?"
"I don't know. I guess I never told anyone about you. Not even Peter."
Mandy seemed confused and dazed. How was she going to explain this to Renee and Serena when she got home? Maybe they won't be mad or maybe they will kill me once I tell them. Weird Jake was my worst enemy now he is my boyfriend. How did that possibly happen? Can Peter hear us talking?
“Jake.”
“Yeah Mandy.”
“Can your brother hear us?”
“I forgot all about Peter.”
Jake looked back at his brother but Peter was sleeping. “He probably is he is just pretending to sleep.”
“Wait he heard you at the reception remember.”
“Shoot! I forgot all about that. You think he will tell everyone else?”
“Well it is Peter. You never know. Should we wake him up?”
“Maybe. Peter. Peter. Peter!”screamed Jake.
“What Jake?!”exclaimed Peter waking up.
“You do know you can't tell anyone about you know what happened.”
“Uh... What happened I can't tell anyone?”Peter asked confused.
“About how me and Jake are together now.”said Mandy.
“Oh that. Maybe.”
“Maybe?”asked Jake.
“I might.”
“Peter.”Jake said sternly.
“Fine I won't! Just let me go back to sleep!”
“Good enough.”
Mandy had her own thought of what Peter might do. He is a lot like Jake but Jake is more mature now. I wonder if he hasn't already told everyone else. I wonder what the guys did to Renee and Serena all week. Oh gosh!
“Mandy?”said Jake.
“What?”
“We're here. We're home.”
“Oh sorry about that. Let's go.”
“What was that about Mandy? You seemed spaced out.”
“Just thinking about the week and what Renee and Serena have been doing without me.”
“Oh. Should we both tell everyone about... us?”
“Maybe we should. Or maybe we should wait.”said Mandy getting out of the car.
“Well if you feel uncomfortable telling them then I could just tell them myself.”
“No, no I'm fine. It's just I don't know how they will react. Because you and me together to them will be like chaos. But to us it is nice.”
“I would tell everyone if I were still with you Mandy.”said Peter behind them.
“Oh Peter. Will you ever get over what happened two years ago?”asked Mandy.
“I have! I just will never forget it. That summer. Hey not my fault Jake told us to steal from you guys.”
“Shut up Peter.”
“No. I'm sick of you being the boss of me!”
“You do boss him around.”
“I'm sorry Peter. Do you forgive me?”
Peter just walked past his brother and into the house.
“Okay that was not the right way to handle this situation.”
“Yeah. So should we?”
“I don't know let's just keep it to ourselves for now.”said Mandy.
“Okay I'll see you later.”
That night Mandy gave Renee and Serena a call. “Hey guys!”
“Mandy can we call you back? We have something in our hands right now.”
“Kevin and Jeremy? Okay bye.”

“Guys let us out!”
“Should we let them out Jer?”
“No just a few more minutes in there for them. They deserve it!”said Jeremy outside of their bedroom door.
“Guys please! We need to talk to Mandy!”said Serena.
“Nope. Come on it isn't that bad in there.”screamed Kevin.
“It is! Please let us out! We have to and I mean have to talk to Mandy! It is important!”
“Five more minutes in there!”said Jeremy.
Serena and Renee couldn't stand it anymore. Since there mother and father weren't home Kevin and Jeremy locked them in their room. The only reason they did was because Serena and Renee ruined the week when Jake Peter and Mandy were away.
“Please guys! We are dying in here!”
“And that's why you should never disturb us when we are talking to the guys! And because you have to coldest room in the summer warmest in winter.”
“Come on guys! Let us out!”screamed Renee.
“Fine open the door Kevin.”said Jeremy.
When Kevin opened the door Serena and Renee came falling out. “You guys are such jerks!”screamed Serena.
“We know. That's what makes us such great brothers to have.”
“Whatever. Give us our phones back too.”
“Here. Oh and what did Mandy want?”asked Kevin.
“Probably wanted to tell us about how much of a bad time she had last week.”
“No way! You've got to be kidding me?”screamed Renee already talking to Mandy.
“What is she saying?”asked Jeremy.
“Wait Mandy can I put you on speaker phone? It's just me Jeremy Kevin and Serena. Okay wait one sec.”
“He is with me now!”
“Who? What happened?”asked Kevin.
“Jake! Me him I don't know it happened so fast!”
“Okay Mandy calm down! Now tell us slowly what happened.”said Serena
“Okay. Well during the reception me and Jake were slow dancing and all of a sudden he had a question for me. And I had my suspicions but I oh my gosh!”
“And?”asked Jeremy.
“Me and Jake are... together.”
“WHAT!”screamed the four siblings.
“Me and Jake are going out? What's so surprising about that?”
“Mandy has he done anything to any of your drinks or food in the past week?”asked Jeremy.
“No guys Jake has changed and for real this time. I know it. That was the feeling I had! I knew something was bothering me and it was because he has changed!”
“I don't get it.”said Kevin.
“What do you mean Kev?”
“He couldn't have changed just like that. Jake is very different. If he has hated you all these years then why all of a sudden does he want to be your boyfriend?”
“You sound like Peter now Kevin! He was still mad that I broke up with him and you sound like him now!”
“I'm over that. I am way over that. But you and Jake are like water and oil. You two do not mix well.”
“Now we do. He asked me yesterday at the reception. Then he made a request for his cousin and her husband and me too. So he has changed. I'll talk to you guys later.”
Silence. All they could do was look at the phone. Shocked. “But she no.” said Serena finally.
“You think she is mad at me?”asked Kevin.
“Your kidding right?”asked Renee.
“Okay she is. But you guys know better then she does I still like her. And I don't want anything to happen to her when she is with Jake.”
“You mean you think Jake might hurt her?”asked Serena.
“Maybe. You never know it is Jake.”said Kevin
“He wouldn’t hurt Mandy. Sure he is annoying but he would never hurt her. Maybe annoy her but never hurt.”said Renee.
“I could find out.”said Jeremy.
“Really!”
“But I’m not going to duh!”
“Come on Jeremy for me? For Mandy? For everyone?”asked Kevin.
“For you heck yeah! Mandy iffy on her. Never trusted her.”
“Your kidding right?”
“No. Why?”
“You kissed her last year during tutoring. You practically love her Jer!”
“No I don’t! She is the worst person ever!”
“Don’t say that about her!”
With in a blink of an eye Kevin was on top of his brother.
“Kevin get off of me!”
“Apologize!”
“Never!”
“Then you wont get up!”
“Kevin get off of him!”screamed Serena.
“Not until he apologizes! Jeremy!”
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to she is just different to the girls back in Georgia!”
Kevin gets off of his brother finally. But he is still suspicious of Jeremy.
“I’m sorry Jer. It’s just... Mandy is special to me.”
“I can see! I’m sorry to I shouldn’t have said what I said.”
“No? Really?”Kevin asked sarcastically.
“Okay no need for sarcasm do you want my help or not?”
“Yes please!”
“Okay I will probably be seeing Jake... can you two leave?”
“No we are in on this too!”
“Please guys? We need to do this alone.”
“Fine. But next time..”
“There wont be a next time!”Kevin said while slamming the door shut.

“Hey Jake.”
“Hey Mandy what’s going on?”
“Nothing much. Hey when do you want to tell everyone else?”asked Mandy.
“I don’t care. When do you?”
“Well I kinda already told Kevin Jeremy Renee and Serena.”
“O-oh you did?”stuttered Jake.
“I’m sorry. Do you want to tell Jason Tyler and Edwin alone?”
“No we should- actually Jeremy or Kevin will probably tell them.”
“True... I think Kev is mad at me.”
“Why do you think that?”asked Jake.
“When Renee called me earlier she put it on speaker and he was like saying everything like Peter was saying.”said Mandy.
“Maybe he still hasn’t gotten over what happened?”
“I think he has but he still likes me. I don’t know what to tell him. It feels like everything has changed!”
“Well Mandy everything has changed.”
“Not my point Jake! He seems... different. And not a good different.”
“He has become more like Jeremy, Mandy. Everyone changes in life. Nobody’s perfect.”
“I know I know. But everyone has changed I mean Serena is talking more to Ruth I am talking more to you and Renee. It feels like I am losing all my friends. Especially Serena and Ruth.”
“Well maybe you are but that will never change you. Friends never stay together forever. Unless they are robots.”
“Very funny.”retorted Mandy.
“Come on Mandy. You never know what will happen in life and sometimes it is good. On the other hand it maybe bad. Serena and Ruth were never good friends to you anyway. At least you have Renee and everyone at school. And me. The guys I will hold off because of everything. But Mandy never feel that you arent good enough. You are.”
“I hate when you get like this. Hey I gotta go. I’ll talk to you later.”
“‘Kay bye Mandy.”
As soon as Jake hung up the phone rang again. “Hello?”
“Hey Jake? It’s Jeremy. I was wondering if you could come over.”
“Um...sure I’ll be right over.”
“‘Kay bye Jake.
Soon Jake was off to the twins. When he got there Jeremy and Kevin dragged him out the door.
“What the heck!”
“Are you crazy!?”asked Jeremy.
“What! What did I do that is so unbelievable?”
“Hmm. Let me think. Oh yeah. Mandy!”
“Oh.”
“Yeah. Jake how are you possibly doing this. After everything that has happened with you and Mandy! It is impossible unbelievable. Unimaginable!”said Kevin.
“Your just jealous! Why cant you get over what happened Kevin!”
“I am not jealous! It is just...”
“What?”
“She was special to me. She was the best thing that happened to me.”
“Well I am sorry. But she has changed. You have changed. Every except Jeremy has changed.”
“Hey! Wait that’s true.”
“Jeremy... never mind.”Jake said turning back to Kevin. “Do you get what I am saying Kevin?”
Kevin looked away ashamed and a little hurt but replied. “Yes. I get it. But she is just so different now. She doesn’t care what we do. What we say or what other people say. She is so... oh what’s the word.”
“Different?”said Jeremy.
“Similar to that. I guess we just never talk anymore. Everything has changed it is like we are in an alternate universe.”
“Right Kev.”
“Jake come on there is no possible way that Mandy could be going out with you.”
“Uh Kev? We are!”
“Jake I got that. It’s just how? Why?”
“She is different we all are Kevin. Except Jer. But seriously if you want Mandy you can have her. I was just going to use her anyway.”
“What? Jake I couldnt do that. Please. What did you need her for?”
“A little experiment.”Jake said with a grin.
“What kind of experiment?”asked Jeremy.
“Just the best humiliation the school has ever seen!”
“Jake don’t do that to her she already has it tough!”said Kevin.
“Why should I she never gave me a break.”
“Yeah but she isnt that bad to you. You do most of the stuff to her to get her mad at you.”
“True. But seriously this is the worlds biggest humiliation in the world! Don’t you guys wanna help? Please?”
“You cant trust me to help Jake.”
“Fine Jeremy will you help?”
Jeremy looked nervously from Jake to his brother and back. Kevin quickly shook his head to tell Jeremy to say no. But it was too late. “Sure Jake I’d be happy to.”
“Good. Meet me at my house tomorrow. Leave Kevin.”
Jake soon left to leave Jeremy and Kevin to talk. “Jer! Why did you say yes?”
“‘Cause I can?”
“Not my point Jeremy. Why do you always listen to Jake?”
“Because I want to. Kev you just want Mandy to be safe I know that but trust me she will be safe. Just a little hurt but not like broke herm legs and arms. Just in case it is after Cross Country lets walk home from school.”
“Good idea. I just don’t want her to be hurt. And what if she does get hurt by accident?”
“Then we gang up on Jake.”said Jeremy.
“Jeremy! Fine you have to tell me everything that is happening though so nothing is off for me.”
“Okay. I’ll go to Jake’s tomorrow talk to him come home tell you then the show begins.”
“Exactly! Just tell Jake to be careful.”
“Got it.”
Then next day Jeremy and Kevin were awaken by their sisters fighting.
“How can you not like Mandy anymore Serena?”said Renee.
“I just can. We don’t have to be best friends forever!”screamed Serena.
“Yes but you two are like... like peanut butter and jelly. You go together! What happened between you two?”
“It isnt important. I just don’t like her anymore end of story!”
“What are you two fighting about now!”said Kevin.
“Nothing, not important, go away!”
“Come on what happened?”asked Jeremy.
“Mandy.”grunted Serena.
“What did Mandy do to you Serena?”
“She is just being wicked weird now she isnt talking to me or Ruth. She is always talking to you guys or Renee.”
“And that is weird how?”asked Renee.
Serena ignored her sister and went on. “I think Jake has to do something with this! Ever since she got back from that wedding she has been acting like this. And I don’t like it.”
“Serena you do know that Ruth and Mandy are no longer friends, right?”said Kevin.
“Uh...no she never told me that. No wonder Ruth always changes the subject when we talk about Mandy!”
“Exactly! They haven’t been friends since about three months ago.”
“What!? Nobody ever told me!”
“You never asked.”said Kevin.
“Not the point. Now I don’t know who to talk to. Mandy or Ruth?”
“You don’t have to talk to neither Serena.”
“True.”
“Well I’m going to get ready ‘cause I am going to Jake’s so bye.”
“See ya Jer.”
Jeremy was off to Jake’s house when he got a call.
“Hey Jason whats up?”
“Nothing much. Going to Jake’s house to talk and what not. You?”
“Nothing. Hey you think Jake will mind if I come?”
“Probably not. Why?”
“My brothers are starting to annoy me. Again. So what’s going on now that Kevin isnt a part in this scheme?”
“Do I have to say it?”
“Mandy?”asked Jason.
“Exactly. He still likes her and he wont get over it! He is such a baby. But she was hiis. And he was probably the one who cared most for her.”
“Riight. Well anyway I am going to call Jake so he doesnt get mad at mew if I do come.”
“‘Kay see you later.”
“Bye Jeremy.”
After three rings Jason almost hung up but Jake finally answered the phone.
“Hello? Grey residence.”
“When did you guys start to answer the phone like that?”asked Jason.
“Hey Jas. What’s up?”
“Was just wondering if I could come over with Jeremy and be part of your little scheme.”
“How’d you find out?”
“I was just talking to Jeremy. How else would I hear it?”
“True. Very true. So you really want in on this?”
“Uh YEAH! But what do we have to do?”
“Come over and you will find out.”
“Coming right now!”
Soon Jeremy and Jason were sitting in Jake’s room discussing what would happen.
“Monday we have practice after school. I was thinking I would run with Mandy then after we go up to where the cars are Jeremy and Jason you will be around the corner with balloons. But not filled with water. Her least favorite color. Green. Will be in it.”
“What do you mean Jake?”
“We are going to fill the balloons with green paint. Then when Mandy and I walk around the corner that is where you two come in. Throw on my signal though!”
“Okay. But what about Kevin?”asked Jeremy.
“He is the fastest runner on the team Jake.”said Jason
“Dont worry he will probably be sitting up on the hill like always waiting for us. Then I’ll be walking up with Mandy and she will never see what is coming.”
“So how exactly are we going to do this?”
“You guys are going to hide around the corner. Then when I “accidentally” trip Mandy I’ll give you the signal.”
