Double Day
Chapter 1
“I’m home ” My dad shouted. I leapt up from the couch and shut off the tv; Spongebob would have to wait.
“Dad ” I heard my sister, Rixia, say. It had been at least two weeks since my dad left for his oceanic abyss exploration.
“Hey Rixia, Auxion.” He had his brief case on his shoulder, but he hugged us both, right there in the living room.
Most 14 year old girls wouldn’t be so happy to see their fathers, yet Rixia was different. She had a absent and dreamy personality and appearance . But she is very nice although selective. I think she only has 3 friends. But enough about her; my father, as you probably already know explores the ocean, bringing back artifacts and trinkets. And me. My name is Auxion and I am eleven. I’m friends with the weirdos at school. Rumor has it that were outcasts. I like to think otherwise, but jeez I guess that’s how 6th grade goes. Anywho.
“Hey, what’s that behind your back?” I asked, looking behind to the right and left. Wow my dad sucked at lying.
“Nothing...He said slowly.
“C’mon dad.” Rixia said picking up on the conversation.
“Do you really want to know?” He asked, his eyebrows up with a little bit of the ‘why do I need this?’ face.
“Yes.” my sister and I said at the same time.
“Fine. We picked up some artifacts, but we have to do more research so...I’ll show you later.” My farther remarked. He seemed annoyed.
“Well.” Rixia started.
I turned around and went down the hallway into my room.”God, I need to clean this.” I thought.
I threw some clothes into the hamper; then it hit me like a train. Ok, maybe not a train, maybe a motor scooter. Either way, I just had an idea; a pesky little plan that just might work.
