Or, at least, an inpromptu one. When I was going back to the main office, 5th Avenue was closed down for a parade honoring fire fighters and police officers who died in the line of duty on September 11th, 2001. It was a nice little procession, and explained why all the other world flags were taken down from Rockefeller Center. I noticed that there were far more American flags on 5th avenue lately, but I didn't know they were planning on a little parade. As a side note, I absolutely adore that kind of... marching, bagpipe music. Very military. I actually slept along the steps of Saint Patrick's Cathedral today. I got out of the Venezuelan consulate exceptionally early (they usually take forever just to address your visa situation) and I decided to use the extra fifteen minutes to nap in the sun. It was... nice. I felt rightly energized afterwards. The day proceeded as usual. My uncle didn't come in, so I got to to consulates today. Ummm, I went to Angola and Sao Tome. Same stuff as usual; visa drop offs, get a pickup date. I skipped breakfast because I was talking to a certain someone on MSN this morning and decided to stay online later than usual, causing me to rush out of the house. But... it was worth it. Anyways, I had a chicken gyro for lunch/dinner. The thing was monstrous in its enormity and absolutely delicious. The onions were cooked just right. I love onions. And yes, I know. I'm weird. I got off of work early today, I mean fifteen minutes less than I usually stay. I think Larry, my boss, is trying to get me out of the office earlier so he doesn't have to pay me overtime. Nice try, Larry, but I officially get off of work at 4, not 5. So you still owe me overtime, fatass. If Larry wasn't so fat, I think he'd make a great Solidus. I was planning to bring an eyepatch to work someday and ask him to wear it in a picture. He's got similar features, but he's just... large. Maybe I'll just ask my grandfather. His hair isn't completely white yet, but he's got more of a Solidus build to him. I need to buy that cardboard box sometime soon. It's all I was going to be for Halloween this year: a cardboard box with The Orange written on it. Metal Gear fans will get it instantly. Man, my room needs to be seriously redecorated. The whole "Final Fantasy XI: Windurst" theme was nice for the sisters, but I'm ready to put up those Devil May Cry 3, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (Goddamn, Hector is hot) and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children wall scrolls. I bought Sephiroth only. Because he's so much cooler than Cloud. Besides, one can't be badass with random bits of foliage about the bedroom. I'm going to Chinatown next week and buying me a 4-piece set of swords. I seriously need to start my collection up again.
