..."SUPPOSED" homosexuality.
Miss Priss (JK Rowling) added this in as an afterthought during a book reading one day when someone asked if Dumbledore had a love interest. Mind you everyone thought, as the books NEVER mentioned anything about Dumbledore's love interests, that if he did it would be Miss MacGonagal. There was a certain chemistry there between them and that was that. Rowling stated this after dodging the question with several jokes and struggling to find an answer to the question asked. Her making Dumbledore a homosexual was an afterthought and her way of getting publicity and stirring the press pot. She sold her story out is what she did. Myself and many others are not saying this because she is making Dumbledore a homosexual. But rather because she did it for publicity and took the character of Dumbledore completely out of character. I love the books and adore the story. But through all these years Rowling has never mentioned anything about any of the Professor's being straight, homosexual, bisexual or asexual. It was never anything neccessary to bring into the storyline. But as soon as sales of her last book started to dwindle just a tad and her story was ending...she tossed the Dumbledore is homosexual out there for the press to feed on. They did and as of last news she is planning to write two more books in the Harry Potter series where you can bet she'll be out for more press by adding homosexuals to the story. All of this is coming from a woman whoes tried for years to stop the online slash stories that abound of her characters. Personally, the story ends for me with book seven.
