In a blink of an eye Kari was gone, using flash step to get a better look at the bandits as they charged towards the village. They all brandished torches, giving a Kari an edge as she could focus upon her targets with a quick step. She stood on top of the arch way, looking down upon the horseman. Each one was different in their own way, with the only means of uniform coming from red shoulder armour and a Chainmail shirt. They all carried long spears and on their backs they carried katanas with red string fluttering in the wind. As Kari watched on, she tightened her grip on the hilt of Silent Thunder and prepared to fight them if necessary. She felt an uneasy urge within her and for some strange reason, Kari liked it. She needed a way to release the pent up rage that had gathered during the cruise and this was it. “Are you ready Kari?” Rika asked as she appeared standing at Kari’s side. “I’m ready” Kari answered and using her thumb, she flicked Silent Thunder up and prepared to strike. “Care to go first?” Rika offered as Kari smiled slightly and in the blink of an eye, she used her flash step and she danced around the bandits in lightning speeds. Kari was a blur to the eye as she darted between each horse, cutting the bandits in different places and leaving large amounts of blood to fly around. After a brief moment of fighting, Kari appeared outside the forest; Silent Thunder had been stained red and the blood dripped onto the fallen cherry blossoms. Small amounts of blood stained her kimono and some blood had splashed onto Kari’s face. She looked towards the bandits, who had stopped to try and control the bleeding from their wounds. It was Rika’s turn to strike now and she was prepared to do all it took. Jumping from the fence; Rika drew Outlaw Star and she ascended to the sky, stopping in front of the moon with the sword held to her right. Kari gazed up with awe and saw her descending beauty fulfilled within the silhouette. The wind swept her hair, the kimono and the obi to the right as it blew through the forest and the village. In an instant; Rika vanished, but reappeared within the group of bandits, swinging her blade in a circle and bringing down most them with ease as she jumped between them all, hacking and slashing away with ease. Eventually the group of bandits had been cut down to just one: their leader. He was around the same height as Rika with a bulky build and large muscles showing under his Chainmail. He had little hair and was almost bold. His eyes were hazel and showed a lot of anger and resentment towards Rika. “Damn you Fujiama” he spat with a deep voice as he tried to keep the bleeding to a minimal. “You had help for once” he continued as he pushed himself up and gripped his katana tightly. “Yeah you’re right, I did have help” Rika replied as she looked past the bandit and towards Kari who started to walk up towards him. “So who the ******** are you?” Kari asked as she held Silent Thunder against the bandit’s neck. “Language please” “Sorry, let me rephrase that. Who the hell are you?” Kari asked and held the sharper edge of the blade close to his skin. “I am Hoshiro Sakemutso. Now what’s your name?” he asked and Kari looked towards Rika, almost as if she needed permission to answer but Rika gave a nod and Kari moved Silent Thunder away. “My name is Hikari Kayoko Fujiama. Now that introductions have been made, I want you to clear off immediately and never return. Understand?” Kari asked and a long pause came as the wind swept through and Kari looked at Hoshiro, waiting for his answer. “Fine, I shall leave” he replied and Hoshiro got up from the ground and started to stagger away while trying to hold in the bleeding. “Thank you for helping Kari” Rika commented as some of the villagers started to run out of the huts, including Rosa and some of the children. “Any time mum, I best get back to the land of the living” Kari replied as Rosa walked up to them both. “I’m ready to go back now Rosa” “O.K. Kari, just follow me” “Good bye mum” Kari started to wave as they walked out of the village. Looking back both Kari and Rosa watched everyone wave them good bye. “Don’t be a stranger Kari! Come back and visit anytime!” Rika shouted to her as Kari continued waving. “I will mum!” Kari finished and in a bright light, they were gone. Rika stood with a small smile on her as she felt the wind rush up at her side and noticed Hoshiro standing aside her without any of his wounds and without any cuts. It was as almost as if nothing had happened. “Do you think she brought it?” he asked as Rika shut her eyes and turned her attention back to the village, stepping back to walk towards it. “It doesn’t matter at the moment; Kari learned everything I was hoping she would learn during this encounter. There’s nothing more I could ask for her” Rika continued as she started to walk back towards the village. “I give you and your men my thanks Hoshiro, has the payment been received?” “It has Rika, now I must bid you a farewell, but it is a fond farewell this fine morning” Hoshiro finished and walked away from the village while Rika walked back towards her hut.
