The Vampire's Melancholy
Haunting this place like a ghost in the night
Sometimes it just doesn't feel right
I despise hunting for human life
to drink their blood, to bring them strife
Blood is tasteless to me now than then
But if I stop feeding, I'll never see the moon again
I wish that there was some way
to avoid taking the lives of humans away
Oh, Lord, take my pain and sorrow
and let me not experiencce them tomorrow
I want to live a normal life
to be human again without this strife
Ah, but you are cruel to me
I know you won't oblige me so easily
Forever I am cursed to kill,
innocent life and destroy one's free will
But ah, I will dream of that day
when my sorrow and misery won't stay
I'll be free to die,
free to spread my wings and fly
No need for blood to live
No taking of wills who will not give
I shall be a normal human being
Until that day, I'll still be dreaming...
