Chapter 3. Surviver.
"Why do you even try, when you know your going to fail?"
I could still hear Henry.
"Is it because I took your girlfriend and you want revenge?
"Is it because I took your parents, or is it because of your sister?"
He laughed.
I just layed their waiting for something,
but I didn't really know what.
What was I waiting for?
To die?
For a sudden burst of engery?
For a savior?
Or was I just to stupid to do anything?
What ever it was I sure wish it would happen soon.
My throat burned every time I tried to swallow.
"Just tell me, why are you trying to be the hero? Huh?"
I could feel Henry's breath in my ear.
I wanted to slap him, or something!
But my body couldn't move, it was like I was paraziled.
Henry laughed.
"I'm not trying to be anything."
I tried to say.
"Then why are you putting your life in danger?"
"I...I don't know."
I confessed.
"Well, soon I'll put you out of your misery."
My chest throbbed, and I started to breath harder and harder.
I heard Henry's footsteps walk away.
It was still terrible.
The screaming and the ripping sounds.
Images in my head made me feel nauseuas.
I saw vampires...the army Henry made.
Soon the screaming stopped, along with the ripping.
Like everything just stopped, disapeared.
Like all the sounds on Earth just didn't exist.
Silence...
"Ben!"
Alishia called.
"Alli?"
I heard her footsteps move closer and closer.
"Ben, here let me wash your eyes."
She wiped my eyes with a cold rag.
"I can see again! Thank you."
I said and hugged her.
Suddenly me face fell as I studied her.
"What happend?"
I gasped as I saw her clothes and her face...her condition!
Her clothes where ripped and ruffled.
Her skin was pale with blood.
Her hair was more red then brown.
"I...I risked it, for you."
She said quietly.
"Alli! Never risk your life for mine!
"You idiotic fool!"
I hugged her tighter.
"I'm sorry."
She silently sobbed.
I patted her back.
"I'm just happy your safe."
Then she coughed and started shaking.
"Alli, are you alright? Alli!"
I didn't know what was going on.
I was scared.
She was coughing up blood, not much though.
I held her tight, praying.
Soon she stopped shaking and went limp.
I stuffed my face in my sister's hair and just let the tears fall.
I knew, but I didn't want to believe.
Alishia was dead.
Henry's laughter echoed in my head.
I stood up too fast nearly falling over.
It was quiet.
Too quiet.
It was incredable.
In a matter of seconds,
the whole world,
humans, animals,
life it self,
was gone.
Ruled by vampires.
And I...
am the only human...
the only survivor.
Chapter 4. Hiding.
I heard groaning.
Horrible moaning.
I almost wished I couldn't see again.
Suddenly I was surrounded by the source of all the noise.
Vampires.
"Hey guys, I used to be a vampire...so uhh...don't eat me?"
I tried to convince them not to kill me.
Of course, it didn't work.
My body trembled as I looked at each of their dead faces.
They were almost like zombies.
Blood-sucking zombies.
All the faces had crimson eyes with their mouths hanging wide open.
Their hungry, I thought as I watched spit drool out of the sides of their mouths.
Ick.
I looked for an opening, and I finnally spoted one.
I ran towards the opening and slipped out of the circle of vampires.
With my head spinning, I could hear them.
They were following me.
I could try to run faster, risk falling...not a choice there.
I could ditch them and hide...
I couldn't think of anything else.
It hast to work or im dead.
I ran and ran for miles it seemed liked, then out of no where I slid to a corner,
and I hid there as I saw them pass me.
I felt the wind as they ran passed me.
It blew my hair and my clothes almost touching one of the passing vampires.
When all of them finally passed I puffed as hard as I had to to try to breath.
I had to wait.
I had to hide.
I had to, to...I don't know.
I admit I was scared, with all the vampires after me.
I was after all the only human.
"Ben? Is that you?"
I heard a voice behind me and I spun around.
Then before I could do anything else the figure kissed me.
I noticed her light brown hair.
I smiled and closed my eyes.
Our lips touched softly and my hand automaticly held her closer.
The figure moved out slowly breathing hard.
"I can't believe your al-"
I was inturrupted with another kiss.
I gently pushed her back and held her shoulders.
"I thought you were dead."
Her eyes were a deep gold.
She just smiled.
"Ben, I am dead."
She traced my fingers.
"Then I must be in heaven."
She laughed a warm laugh.
"No, your still alive."
"How are you dead?"
I asked touching her face.
"I'm here in spirit. Only you can see me."
"Well, that explains alot..."
I mumbled.
Rose laughed.
"It does."
I could feel tears coming in my eyes as I began to relize she was fading.
"Your sister is calling me."
She stroked my forehead.
"I'll try to be back soon, I'll make your sister come...if you want."
I smiled and my tears began to fall.
"No, I don't want to see you anymore."
I saw the shock on her face.
"Rose, it hurts me to know your never coming back."
Then she began to understand.
"I'll wait for you."
Her voice echoed as she disappeared.
"Okay."
My voice cracked.
"I think I heard something over here."
A vampire shouted.
Great! Just great!
I stood up and my knees gave in right away.
I fell to the ground.
What do I do know?
"I smell flesh over here!"
Their getting closer I thought and tried a different way to escape.
Trembling I got up to all fours and tried crawling.
I fell after two inches.
I tried to get back up, but my knees were to stupid to help me.
So I slammed my fingertips into the ground and began pulling myself across the dirt.
It was working.
Faster and faster I began pulling.
Suddenly something slammed my head into the dirt.
"Thought you could get away so easily?"
It was Tessa.
"Please let me go! Tessa, you don't have to listen to him."
I begged in the dirt.
She laughed evily.
"I'm not listening to him, I want to do this, I want to be his partner again."
She grabbed my arm and pulled me up.
I was suddenly face to face with a vampire.
Not only did she want to revenge, she wanted to kill me.
