Engulfed in the kiss Mairan and Pierre did not know of the watching woman in the window of Marians house.
Marians mother had been waiting for that boy to make his move, to want her daughters hand, but now might be too late. Aadi, Marians mother, needed thosepounds and seeing as how the rumors floating about said that the scar of the cheek and long black hair were the only things identifing the Shadow, Pierre was a likely suspect. Aadi watched then went back into her room. Aadi was ill she could die anytime. Marian came into the house, Pierre sheepishly following.
Marian was soon was changed back into her normal clothes and the big news was about to be told to the parents of both who were told to come to Marian and Aadi's home. They were wanting a blessing. A blessing to wed.
