Chapter 7. Ashes and Blood.
When we got back to Ben's house I felt cold.
"Rose, are you alright?" I heard Ben's voice.
"Your eyes are hazle, I really think there's something wrong."
He grabbed a thermometer and put it in my mouth.
"Alishia, Max has to go potty again."
I smiled.
Max always has a small bladder.
"Okay."
Then she was out of the room.
I heard the thermometer beep.
"101.4, you have a fever." Ben smiled.
"Tisk, Tisk! Shouldn't be out in the rain!"
All I could do was stick out my tounge.
I felt sick as a dog.
Ben patted my forehead and layed me in his lap.
Even though we just met, I think I love him too.
A girl loving a vampire!
Weird.
My eye lids felt heavy, but I didn't want to sleep.
The rain sounded like my lullaby again...
Everything turned black.
"Hurry! Move Rose and Max to the basement!"
I heard Ben whisper.
"Okay."
Cold hands grabbed me.
I felt like I could puke any second now.
I heard Max thud down the stairs.
He's not to quiet when you have a major headache.
"Mom? Dad?" Alishia's voice echoed in the basement.
I groaned from all the movement.
"Hold on Rose." Alishia whispered to me.
I could feel my whole body sweat, but I didn't get it.
I was feeling so cold, but was sweating worse that a pig!
I started shivering, and I couldn't breath right.
Soon I was gasping for air.
"Mom! Dad!" She yelled again.
Nothing.
All I could hear was the panting of my dog behind us.
Alishia's eyes were wide open now, I thought she would drop me.
"Wh-what's wrong?" I struggled to say.
"M-mom...D-dad..."
I saw tears stream down her face.
"P-put me down." I ordered softly.
She looked at me and nodded, then put me down on the sofa.
Alishia ran towards to hanging bags.
"Mom! Dad!" She cried.
A flash of lightning lit up the room and I saw what she was crying about.
A rope that was tied to the ceiling was wrapped around two bags.
Blood dripped from the bags along with ash.
"No..." I whispered and coughed.
Inside the bags where Lilyen's and Mike's ashes, with their blood.
"BEN!" Alishia sobbed and dropped to her knees.
I heard Ben rush down the stairs.
Thunder shook the house.
"Alishia what's wrong?"
She pointed to the hanging bags.
"It's mom and dad..." She whispered softly.
He wrapped her into a hug and started to sob quietly too.
Max stayed with me.
He had big eyes as he stared at me.
"I'm fine..." I whispered to him.
Max tilted his head like saying, "Yeah right!"
I smiled weakly.
Lightning shown outside the window.
Ben and Alishia where still sitting by their parents ashes.
The house shook more violently this time and I landed on the ground with a thud.
I groaned.
"Rose!" I barely heard Ben from the sound of a ripping noise.
I weakly looked up and saw a huge black funnel tearing the first floor off the house.
Max started to bark.
My head throbbed, from all the noise.
Suddenly, I felt something heavy land on me.
"OOF!"
My breath was squished out of me like jelly.
Then again everything slipped into complete darkness.
"Is she dead?"
I heard Alishia's voice sounding small.
My head still throbbed, my fever has gotten worse.
"No, she's awake." Ben's voice sounded unsure.
My body hurt and some parts of me felt wet.
What the heck happend?
Max barked.
"Alishia will you take him out again!?" Ben sounded earitated with Max.
That's my dog! I thought shivering.
"Rose, hold on. You'll be okay." Ben didn't sound so sure as I hoped.
I opened my eyes and saw what was so wet.
Blood.
