So i was reading an interveiw with stephane meyer about her book series 'Twilight' and at the bottom of the page you could leave comments and stuff if you were a member of the site. the following section i pasted in is one of these comments:
Anything that promotes witchcraft over prayer is evil. I also don't want anything to do with books that promote a lustful lifestyle. Sex outside of marriage is sex outside of God's immutable laws. God destroyed the Sodomites because they refused to turn from their wicked ways. We have lost our moral compass and unfortunately God's judgment will come upon this nation. I suggest you are the ones who ought to read up on things of God.
As for Lot. His daughters got him drunk and committed incest with their father. If you will read on, God in no way condoned this and the iniquities were passed down thru the generations.
There are only 2 kinds of people in the world, children of God or children of the devil. If you buy into his lies, (the father of lies) you belong to him. The Bible is a book of promises. All the stories of how people went wrong are for instruction, so we don't repeat the folly of these individuals. There are also promises of blessings and curses. Promises of faith in God.
When He comes back (and I believe it will be very soon) see if you are busy mocking what God offers to you. The tribulation will worse than anything this world has ever known. However, I won't be here. I will be raptured out of here with my fellow believers to reign with Jesus, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son, that whosoever would believe in Him might be saved.
ok, this pissed me off for several reasons.
1) it was suposed to be a comment about a book, not some random religious thing.
2) ok, i'm an atheist, but i still respect all religions and those who beleive in them, i celebrate easter and christmas and stuff as a time where the world is at peace with each other, but seriously, this is going way to far. I mean, if you don't beleive in god but spend your life living as a good person, that doesn't mean you're going to hell just because you didn't beleive. In fact, i think that if god really did exist then the people who would go to hell would be those who spend all their time obbsessing over him and judgeing people by what they beleive, instead of makeing the most of the life that Jesus aparently died to give us. Whats the point of such a sacrifice if you're going to waste it in an obsession over what you're doing is right or not.
3) A BOOK ABOUT VAMPIRES IS NOT 'EVIL' OR 'WICKED'!!!!!!!!! It's NOT telling people to give up their faith and turn to witchcraft, it's just a bit of harmless fun!!!!
See this is the reason why people who are obsessive with their faith really annoy me.
