Shining like a light Somewhere deep inside But still they hide it, Keeping it away
People say they fear the dark Dancing off into the day And yet sometimes they stay Lingering in shadows
What is hidden? Light or darkness? Smothering away?
Do you hide the light inside? Or do you hide night? Which are you afraid of? The daylight or the dark?
There is a light Deep inside Just waiting to be tapped But people leave, ignore it be Cause of a Fear Of maybe being seen.
People say they fear the dark But is that really true? Or is it the good deeds inside Covered secretly?
This poem was inspired by a scroll I saw inside of a Chinese restaurant today. xD It was a quote a Nelson something... beautiful, really~
I wish I could make my damn poems rhyme. =_=
I'll have to use a poetry format to challenge myself soon!
