goose bay balled

Far across the country of canada
Goose Bay is the spot
Where we are damned to spend
Our time in the land that god forgot
Way up here with the snow and polar bears
Where young men turn blue in the Middle of nowhere
Many Miles from you
We sweat and freeze and starve
More than we can stand
We're not exactly convicts
Just defenders of our land
We are only men of the airforce
Earning our means
By guarding people with millions
For two and a half a day
Living with our Memories
Waiting for our gals
Hoping they dont marry
our draft dodging pals
No one knows were living,
No one gives a damn,
Were just lonely fly boys,
We work for Uncle Sam
But when we reach those pearly gates
We'll hear St. Peter yell
"Step up you men of Goose Bay,
You've spent your time in hell"
