I'm walking on water that I am all too familiar with;
The same water I have watched grow murky
Through all the sin and dirty deeds
That stain its pebbles below.
The same water that has tried to drown me,
Yet in the end keeps me afloat.
This water wears the cloak of deception,
With a crystal blue mirror reflecting the merry sky
While underneath that cloak is tainted, innocent darkness.
The darkness contains a horrid beast
Which festers in my mind;
It feeds on my thoughts, the ones once so pure.
Those thoughts have since evolved into something twisted and evil.
This water, I see, is murky.
It is simply a reflection of my head.
This water isn't uncommon,
For it flows continuously.
It has filled my lungs and deprived me of air
But it has also filled me with a sense of purpose.
I must purify this water,
For it is a reflection of my mind.
I am standing in a puddle,
One that I am all too familiar with;
The same puddle that forms whenever I cry.
This puddle is also deceptive:
These tears are not clear.
As I cry I am shedding myself of darkness.
These tears are tainted,
As they come from the well.
This well is connected to the water that is murky,
For you see,
The water is a collection of my puddles,
My tears.
It is a burial ground for my thoughts,
As well as a hospital for my mind.
It is a place to mourn my sanity.
This water is murky.
