I like to think that one day ill complete my journey,
that these roads I've crossed, ill never have to cross again,
Yet, something grasps me by the threshold,
I am still a child in this world,
yet to lose my innocence,
I haven't crossed the bridge that was once built for me,
Built for me, to crumble, to fall back down again,
once more, once again,
How many times can i be blinded, by the ribbon of red,
That shields my visions
My visions of pure bliss.
How many times can i put up with the foolery?
How many times have those betrayed me, or I've betrayed myself?
Is it Chance?
The chances that have been surpassed.
Again, to pass me by.
So who is at fault this time?
My own trembling lips,
or this shadow that wraps its lace around me.
