It's unspoken but these words can't stop choking,
They're just not flowing and my confidence is smoking,
Fire alarm goes off and now I'm just soaking,
The lights go out and this easy exit door is provoking,
I tell it to stop and I'll clean it up with this mop,
There's too much water and I can hear more drop,
They're booing now; the crowd's voice is on top,
Nobody comes to prevent them not even the cops,
They don't want me on stage so I should get off,
They clapped more for the last guy who just coughed,
I stare back at the stage, still in color, as I just walk away,
Once I was in the light but the shadows have now made me gray,
Everyone said they loved me but these guys are not getting it,
I can't make this anymore simple; so me and this stage should always split,
If it don't rhyme or make sense the very first time,
Well these mindless people should go clap to an amateur's lines, and never mine.

- Title: Hated limelight
- Artist: Ikuo Jinichi
- Description: I performed my poetry on stage against a few others, they didn't like me because they didn't understand my poetry. Everyone else had no idea how to correctly write a poem no more than these "judges" could correctly have an understanding what poetry is.
