With an attitude bold
And passion fiery,
Yet a calming voice,
Melodious and fine-
Soft hands with vibrant warmth
Long, flowing hair like silk-
Her beauty glows bright
Like a full moon of night.
My lady is close to me
But only in distance.
She knows little of me;
Knowledge of my feelings, non-existent.
I cannot confront my love
For fear dwells in my mind,
But I push to tell her
In hopes she will be mine.
- Title: Valentina
- Artist: Valthela
- Description: This is a poem I wrote last year for a World History assignment. The assignment was to write a love poem how you thought people of the Renaissance period would write one. My good friend, Valentina, told me to write one about her, and so I did. This is the end result.
