• Lone Soldier
There’s always one who sheds no tears
He learned while young to face his fears
He watches the madness right from his eyes
As he hears the other soldier’s cries
As he heads toward the explosion
    His face overpowers with revulsion
And he sees his best friend on the ground
So he checked but no heartbeat was found
This soldier still sheds no tears
And he faced one of his biggest fears
He saw a friend lay idle during war
His heart clenched tight and he became sore
He said goodbyes to his loved friend
But he couldn’t help until the days end
He went to his friend and blessed his afterlife
And he promised to inform his children and wife
That night was the first time he had cried in a while
But the tears brought on a crooked smile
He’s happy his friend can rest in tranquility
And he’s happy his friend now lived in serenity
There’s always one soldier who sheds no tears
And they learned how to face his fears
But this soldier was an exception to this
For he lost his friend to the afterlife bliss
