In the shadows hungers the darkness waiting for the weakness of mans greed to overcome him thus the shadows shall consume him and the world shall fall to darkness but light shall always fight for control such is the want of the dark to blot out the light and the willingness of the light to shine out in the dark to pierce the shadows of the world and once again begin the cycle of dark and light. Such is the will of all Good,Evil,and such. All are ultimately set on this path that is doomed to be repeatedly followed into oblivion.

This is a good description of how our world has fallen into 'darkness' and how 'light' always 'shines' through to give hope.
Both darkness and light are described in the Bible; darkness being the devil and his fallen angels and light being the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit with His angels. But one day the cycle will end, the victor of the war already decided - Light!

But this is only my viewing...
