Scent of rain stained streets fills the air
And I step out under clouded skies
There's a song on my lips, but no sound comes
Its always like this with you
Time and again, I just can't win
So I walk again, again, again...
Wound too tight to See
Blind and seeing red
Woven with you so long
I might break
The spring in my steps are long gone
It seems to rain all the time
I'd fall if I ever flew again, but I'd still jump
I don't know where to go
But there'll always be you, near and far
This drag feels like chains
Her pale form shyly looking down
From castles so high, left dark
Close your clouded veils, Lady, I can't sing to you
Dont cry for me, I'm lost on my own
Look after my heart, dear woman
Leave alone my echoes on the wind
Wound too tight to try
Body of flesh fallin'
When you find me tonight
Look away
Let the rain return and batter me down
Let the thunder roll and drown me
Moisten my cracked lips, I've nothing more
Remember me, the way you loved me
Again and again, I never won
But I had you, my love, my love
I had you...

- Title: But I had you...
- Artist: Syrazel Moonfyre
- Description: Inspired by 'I Won't See You Tonight' Part 1 by Avenged Sevenfold, this holds a lot of personal feelings mixed with the themes I generally use in my poems and songs on deviant art. I'm interested in what the people will read it will feel and think about.
