    I never knew what it was or how it felt until you came along.
    It was nonexistent in my life.
    I had no protection from it, my heart was hurt.
    I learned to shut everyone out, and to hate.
    I had never known how to hate before you.
    I never needed to know.
    After a lifetime of hate and despair, I must unteach myself.
    To learn to love and never hate again.
    I did learn from you.
    I learned who not to let in.
    Who to let in, and who to leave out in the cold world.
    But as cold as the world is, I guess it wasn't cold enough for you.
    Or you would have learned.
    I must never let hate rule my life.
    Because I never want to be like you
