With stretched arms from across the world, we found a balance somewhere in the middle of the sea.
The bridges that are supposed to pull worlds together are falling apart from broken trust and colors of our flags.
But with our long hands clasp together, maybe we can make some sense between us.
It’s not just the races between are indifferent, they are afraid to play along together,
Scared to be bullied because they have dots instead of towels or stars around their necks instead of one god.
Or maybe they don’t follow the same rules, and don’t have the same words, but that’s alright; we can show them how similar everyone is.
No matter how great we put ourselves into a mess, if it means to love then let’s love each other first.
So let’s cross our hearts and hope to die if it means living in a world of one instead of many.
My race against your wont mean a thing so lets hold on tighter, maybe they can see our arms stretch around the world.
Let the music on each side, on every side, united into a grand theater of the visions of the future soon to come. A future that will come.
Drops the wars, drop your books, drop the fights and let’s recreate a new chapter called Us.
Just hold on a little more, I know they fight and try to pull us apart, cus’ they are doing the same everywhere when hearts seek the truth.
Watch how the eyes watch and now they are crossing our arms like a gate.
No more a wall to them but a sign of hope, wear all white, call fair is fair, and let’s play together in one big sand box.
So let’s cross our hearts and hope to die together as one and let’s laugh at the stars and milky-ways, it’s all the same now.
My race against yours will soon understand that water and land shouldn’t push us apart.
Your tongue against my words has the same meaning but only in a different smile.

Description:
This poem was inspired by the relationship i have with my new fiancée and the fact that He's 100% South Korean and I'm 75% (or mostly) Italian; both of our parents was a little weirded out because of how different both of our worlds are. Pasta against rice, raw fish against shrimp scampi; yes both of our worlds are different but we both love each other.<3 Please enjoy and Love<3
